Frontline is being widely reported as becoming ineffective in an increasing number of cases. It failed on our two dogs and a friend had no luck with hers as well recently.

We switched to Advantage and it worked perfectly.

Do some googling on Frontline before you spend on this.

Advantage is currently 8.99 with free delivery from Petdrugsonline (used many times and are excellent):

Will these work on pubic lice?........ asking for a friend!

If your friend has a pussy, then yes, this product will be effective.

Whoa.. thats way cheaper than when I last bought some. Curses! Wonder if it's genuine...still buying anyway... might as well be cheap with rubbish than spend lots more on fakes. And it might be real! Woohoo

Absolutely superb price, worked out £9.07 a pack added to my subscribe & save items so ordered 3 packs.

Big thank you OP, best deal of the week by a country mile

Far from it.

You can buy the large dog version for not much more and give to cats.
You will need to buy a 1ml syringe and give an average size cat 0.4ml . I've been doing it for a couple of years

Plenty of instructions on the net.

After a quick search, may be cheaper out there.

So you’re saying buy twenty £10 wraps off your dealer in one go rather than one at a time, which needle exchange do you frequent for fresh syringes?

Yep Frontine is very poor these days. Strangly it started getting "weak" not long after they introduced the more expensive Frontline Plus version.

Advantage is very effective.

This, frontline hasn't worked in my area for over 5 years. Conveniently after it stopped working they started selling it over the counter. Most over counter flea treatments don't work. Only stuff from vets or prescription flea treatments work. Advantage or Advocate work best imo.

Thanks for the link, been looking for decent price Advantage, unfortunately not free delivery tho

I found frontline plus wasn't effective at all when my dog recently got fleas, took her to the vet and vet said that they'd found frontline had become less effective, he gave us a tablet that had an immediate effect and is supposed to be effective for 3 months

Frontline caused our dog to have allergic reaction, face swelled, intense itching and breathing difficulties....

I have used Frontline for years and thankfully have never had any issues. Ticks have increased here, eewwwwww, over the past few years and Frontline has proved to be most effective. Thanks op

Stopped using Frontline a while back as it just wasn't effective. We now use Advocate (requires a Vet's prescription) which I would highly recommend.

It may be effective on ticks, It 100% doesn't kill the fleas in my area. My dog was allergic to fleas and became inflamed and sore when Frontline failed to kill the fleas. We gave her two doses after seeking advice from vets, Still didn't work, We had to treat our cat and it didn't work on her either. One dose of Advantage and the fleas were all dead and she healed within a few weeks.

Nice notes on PetDrugsOnline, noted for future - delivery is free if spending over £20

Frontline cost us £2000 when we got sold a bad batch. And it was genuine, as each has a batch no on and can be traced. 3 of our 5 cats developed neurological problems, the worst could not see nor use his back legs. He wasn't back to normal for nearly a week. 3 emergency vets trips that night. The best bit? This company doesn't care about animals, the vets were so frustrated with the inability to get in contact with them to report the batch. Will never touch this stuff again.

Just so you are aware, the dog version has a chemical that will kill a cat, as it is toxic to cats but not dogs. You can ask your vet this. That's why they have a cat version and a dog version.

I only said it so you were aware. I personally wouldn't do anything to risk my pets lives, but that's just me

Frontline doesn't work in my area. I bought Advocate but it has to be bought from the vet or with prescription. The vet charged me £62 for 3 pipettes plus added doubts by saying in front of my little girl that her year old kitten has heart murmur and should be x-rayed and blood-tested. Luckily I had prepared my girl for this by showing her that Advocate 3 pipettes cost only £21 if bought on the internet with prescription. The vet had refused to give us prescription on phone and insisted they wanted to do a checkup for flea-treatment. The kitten is active and as lovely as ever32468844-NDgWs.jpg

Another one here that found that Frontline stopped working. Switched to Advantage and that works.

Seems someone lied to you about Catalonia not being Spain though

And an educated guess says if the GHS gave you medication for an ape rather than a human you'd most likely get on your high horse about it

You put that so eloquently, could not agree more, well said.

As for people saying they finding it's not working for them, touch wood Frontline has always done us proud for mutts and moggies.

The mutt was in the Burgenland region of Austria with me for three years and that manor is notorious for ticks, but with Frontline none of them ever hung around excuse the pun.

And our cat has remained flea free for donkey's years with the feline pipettes so was more than happy to snap a few up at this price.

This is Fipronil which is completely useless.

Get to the vets & buy Stronghold it works properly

Oh and stronghold also kills worms & other parasites too.
