Thanks

Damn I really wish I had a Lidl nearby they always seem to have great deals.

thanks!

They do great roses and fruit trees in poundland which have always been great! Also, raspberries, strawberries, potatoes etc.

I'm pretty sure they have a similar selection at a similar price in Aldi also.

yeah and they were reduced from £3.99 to £2.99 in our Aldi

And the fruit is guaranteed to stay fresh for two days.

Tesco have them on BOGOF £3, seen it this morning at Tesco Express Portstewart.....assume it's nationwide! Just to add, these were fruit bushes only but a good selection!

Morrisons have a nice little selection of similar fruit trees etc as in the OP for £5 - quality looks excellent, I would say some of them are 3 year old trees.

minimoneyAnd the fruit is guaranteed to stay fresh for two days.

Yeah, unlike tesco fruit which is stored for 6 months in a warehouse pumped full of an inert gas and then last for ages in the fruit bowl but still taste of cardboard.....

This is going great in my Lidl. Still tons of everything except the peonies (I nabbed all those lol - had to go through 8 boxes to get 'em ;-) )

Only 99p for the peonies btw.

Typically a few quid more than that everywhere else

Thanks for that squillion....will look for peonies in my local! Any other additional surprises???

Well - the quality of the fruit trees looked excellent in mine - some looked 3 years old so should get off to a good start.

BTW peonies can last for 100 years of more and just get bigger and better every year (in the right conditions). They are hardy down to -25C or more so should be fine in all conditions the UK can throw at them.

Variety in my Lidl was Sarah Bernhardt

Every year I but a few fruit trees - much to the dismay of my wife lol. I saw this so dropped into Lidl. Just to say that Aldi have by far the best fruit trees of all that I have bought each year. The Lidl ones are half the height of the Aldi ones. I'd recommend the Aldi trees every time but you must get in quick to get the choice, very soon all they have left are apple :-)

Morrisons have very good fruit trees but expect to pay £5
