Heat for the Fajita kit price that I just saw!
This may be a good deal, but I really don’t understand why people cook with this stuff when there are delicious healthy alternatives to vegetable oil like lard, coconut oil and butter

I think it’s mainly to do with the calories that are in other oils and butters etc. Personally I use coconut oil and frylight but each to their own

I know I may sound like a heretic here, but calories aren’t the cause of the current obesity ‘epidemic’ we’re suffering globally. Sugar and refined carbohydrate are responsible for that.

I wouldn’t say they are solely the cause but they are critical to weight loss. You need to be in a calorie deficit to lose weight consistently - which is why sprays like this which are advertised as “1 calorie” sprays are popular with people who are looking to lose weight.

Absolutely agree about calorie deficit - you need to be eating less than your body needs in order to break down body fat for fuel. Unfortunately, the traditional “eatwell plate” we are sold advocates wheats, grains and starches...it’s incredibly difficult (if not impossible for most) to lose weight and maintain satiety following this model.
