Thanks Macho Savage. One post titled "cheap fans down the screwfix" would probably sufficed.

Since we have had no summer its no surprise really that stores are trying to ship fans before winter arrives.

Eh? He's only posted one deal for a fan at screwfix, so what are you getting at?

What's the problem? It's been baking down south
No stock anywhere near me, typical.
This is the same crappy fan I got from B&Q then returned a week later as it had started to vibrate so loudly it was unusuable on any setting.
i got a similar one from asda, looks exactly the same, but cost £15 x
Just got this for my weed grow room. Thanks

why u trying to buy it again then if its ''crap''?
Never said I was trying to buy it, last thing I would spend money on as the blades are incapable of holding shape they are so thin, I clicked on the link to see if any of the better models were on a decent offer and noticed the lack of stock, clicked the link to see if you had checked the country had any before posting.

Nope, had to return the effort I got from B&Q and nearly every fan offer on heres been for the identical model with various branding slapped on the box, retailers are not even bothering branding the white circle any more to save a penny, just the packaging.

Ah no worries. Mine is coming in tomorrow so I'll let u know how it is. How long did yours last?
Got this fan a while back and it has been great. No problems, surprisingly quiet for such a good value fan too. Prefer it to a much more expensive Dimplex fan we have.

Brilliant! For those hot summers nights all I've been doing is tossing and turning. Felt as though I was three stone lighter this morning. Even the cold side of the pillow doesn't want to know me anymore

No more than 5 nights before it got noisy, I thought she had it on full speed but it was on the 1st. I also found the 1st setting twice as loud as my old fan of the same size.

might of been a bad batch one that you had all comments look good especially this one "Great value fan, easy to assemble, quiet. One point - the small nut and bolt for fixing together the two halves of the fan guard were separately loose in the box, tucked under one of the flaps at the base of the box. So don't rush to throw out the packaging if you can't find them. "

Update. Just assembled it and barely any noise at all mate. Try buying a new one. That was definitely a bad batch one you had
It started off fine and I'm looking to buy something better that has a quieter low speed as number one was twice as fast as our existing fan. Build quality is crap as well, the plastics so thin you could see the blades deform on high. I got the freestanding biggest version and that's been ok, same thing with silly thin blades though.

Can't find out how to tilt this. Unscrewed plastic toggle thing on adjustment but it's screwed in tight with a bolt right above it. Assuming you undo this bolt?
I don't remember undoing anything other than the wing nut.
