Ready for a little more retro action? Just how many people had access to BBC systems back in the day. Relive those days without the expensive call charges from your landline.

Blerb:

fTelnet is an ANSI-BBS terminal designed to connect to remote BBSs via telnet.

In theory it can connect to any telnet server (ie muds/routers/consoles), but you're probably not going to be happy with the results for anything other than BBSs, so with that in mind please don't leave a low rating if it doesn't work well with your non-BBS server.

Before the internet, these things existed. BBS = Bulletin Board Systems. You would dial a phone number from your modem (Modems used to be connected to a regular telephone line back then) and the computer on the other end would answer and reply with its modem, a bit like a web page does now, only more primitive. The images above a typical of what you might have seen on your screen back in the day.
Why would you want to do that these days?

For the love of ANSI graphics
Nostalgia. It isn't what it used to be.
