I'm not fussed about the Energy Boost side of things but price is very reasonable at only 50p a pot which is even cheaper than the asda own brand stuff! RRP is £1.18 so definitely worth a buy. I know its not the cheapest way to buy porridge but convenience wins for me!

I haven't tried yet so cant vouch for the taste, i will let you know!

I picked up Golden Syrup, Forest Fruits and Apple & Cinnamon.

Boosted instant porridge. With protein >10g, fibre and carbs. 100% natural creamy porridge Athlete or artist, businessman or musician... Fuel is your morning sustenance to set you up for a day in search of excellence. Your 10K hours 20 hours a week, 1,000 hours a year, for 10 years. This is the level of practice required to become elite. It demands your energy. Your motivation. Yours alone. You get out what you put in. But how do you find 10K hours? An early start in the morning is critical to finding extra time in the day. To make the most of these extra hours you need to be properly energised

cant say i like the branding either!

Double the protein of normal oats which would explain the branding but yeah good deal.

Grabbed some last week, seems they weren't selling well at full price so asda getting rid of their stock. If you want a few, grab them quick!
Golden syrup was too sweet for me, but the other two are nice.
Good for 50p a go. Hot

Normal porridge with a scot of flavoured protein powder stirred in after it's made is a lot cheaper. Vanilla powder with chopped peaches my fav!

Still overpriced at 50p

Most people missing point
Anything that's easier is always more expensive
Very good for busy people
Voted hot and will be buying some this week
Thanks op

I DON'T HAVE TIME TO PUT A CUP OF OATS AND MILK IN THE MICROWAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'M TOO BUSY BECOMING ELITE!!!!!!!!! GIVE ME A PRE-PREPARED POT OF OATS AND MILK!!!!!!!!! ADD WATER????? WTF - NO TIME!!!!!!!!! ARGH!!! ELITE FAIL...... fml

I get these for work, no microwave but a kettle! Think before you post....

One mistake the makers made was to put soya & milk protein into it. With one or the other they would have sold more due to both being allergens for some.

Exactly what I do minus the peaches. Easier and cheaper way of doing it.

It's not that much more convenient at all. All they have done to make your life easier is provided a measure of oats and a disposable bowl. The only time you are saving is measuring the oats yourself and throwing the bowl in the sink - so approximately no time at all. Jumbo oats cost approximately £1 per 1kg, so you are paying roughly 10 times too much for the contents of these pots.

Jesus. Some people. If you want to eat these at work, which may not have a microwave, but only a kettle. then these would fit the bill. Not sure if I can be any clearer than that.

Me too! Will be well handy

Well I bought a fair few for when I'm in hospital when my little one is having treatment I can get rather peckish . All that's available on the ward is tea/coffee . I can't even leave to go to the canteen and I'm there for many hours. Perfect for me . All u need to add is boiling water . Better than soggy sandwiches and nice in this cold weather . Thanks op !

The Apple & Cinnamon one is lovely! I'll be stocking up before the run out. I've tried quite a few other porridge pot brands and these are one of the nicest.

I really like the syrup flavour one, but I've always had to pay more than 50p for it. Heated.

Personally I can't stand any of the current instant porridge pots, the powered milk kills them. (I used to like them when they were basically oats+ flavouring in a disposable cup)
If you want super easy and great tasting porridge, the sachets (you could just measure out portions and put them in zip bags to get the same thing for less money), a bowl (disposable if you want) along with milk and in a microwave is the way to go.
Want more protein mix if your favourite supplement.

Seriously instant porridge pots (the just add hot water) are horrible.

This stuff is lovely! Especially the Golden Syrup one. Been buying these frequently for the last month for work and really enjoy eating them as their simply hot water, and not too runny for a porridge! HEAT to the porridge!

I had these at Glastonbury festival last year! Worked a right treat when you only had access to hot water from the kettle Hot deal!!! X)

As above, I too use these for work as I have no microwave but we do have a kettle so really are a good thing. Yes theyre more expensive than doing it the old fashioned way but needs must unfortunately. And for the price, theyre a good buy with high protein, much better than eating a breakfast bar or some other crap.

Also, apple and cinnamon flavor is definitely the pick of the bunch. I like the berries one but the syrup isn't my cup of tea.

I eat my breakfast in work and do not have milk or a microwave. Its not about becoming elite but yes I do have a proper job with proper responsibilities.

When it comes to breakfast this (instant oats) could mean me having an extra ten minutes to spend with my wife and children in the evening by eating at work rather than having them in the morning before going (before anyone else is up). I work flexi so the sooner I get working the sooner I can leave.

I am too busy providing a for my family and caring about the important things in life to care if other people eat ready made oats or have a take away now and again. I cook from scratch 90% of the time and eat a great balanced healthy diet so an occasional'ready meal' is not a problem.

Perhaps because you do not have proper responsibilities or care about the really important things you think its fine to complain about other people. Sounds to me like you are another 'my life is crap and I don't provide anything to society so I will moan about other people'.

Perfect for work! I'll be stocking up on these again

Sorry to say Bezzy, but it looks as if people would rather spend 10 minutes having a chat with me than you.... ratio of 6:1

Try telling yourself you're getting high and mighty about porridge oats and see if it makes you laugh, go on

Sounds to me like it would be rather boring to have to listen to you in real life. Luckily, I'm just on here cracking jokes about a pot of oats. must dash, got to write up my notes from a conference call with the European Space Agency this afternoon (ooo look, I also have a proper job too!!)

Not much in the pot but yummy

All of you narrow minded people who assume that a microwave is always at arms length for everyone are so deluded. I have porridge for breakfast every morning, but for those mornings where I only have the option of a kettle or even a flask of hot water, these are great. Plus they have added flavour.

Is the added protein in this soya? If so not the highest quality. But still cheaper than store brand normal pots so has to be hot

It's Soya Protein mostly, so hardly a great source of protein. The product is fine for 50p great buy but it is like a lot of other "protein" product it uses the cheap of the cheap protein sources that really aren't all that. If you had the time oats with a whey protein, would be a far better protein source but for time and price this product is a bargain.
