just to let you know, bro and sister inlaw have one of these each, paid alot more than this, and recomend it, they say a great camera, so well worth the money.

I just found a similar camera on Currys website.

They have a A510 model including 4 rechargeable batteries and charger for £64.89 including delivery.

Don't know what the difference is between A500 and A510 - looks about the same to me apart from the colour?

The DSG group sometimes insist on manufacturers renaming products for them as it then gets over their 'price match' policy. The A500 and A510 are very probably the very same product, but don't take my word for it.

sweet. think i might get one:thumbsup:

It is true; for example: HP Desjket 5550 & 5551 are exactly the same inside but completely different cases. DSG had exclusive rights in the UK for the 5551:

This is an excellent camera. i just bought one before Xmas from Jessops for £100 quid. I use it for work everyday. it is very easy to use and the quality of photos is absoloutely excellent. i would definetely recommend it to anyone purchasing their first camera

If the thought of having a 'bit of blue' (as Peter kay might say :-D ) on the front of the camera doesn't put you off, the apparently identically specced (though differently cased) A510 is available from www.currys.co.uk together with a decent battery charger and batteries for £64.89 delivered.
