£27 model L55 OOS - but the FinePix AV200 Refurbished is available for £32.99

Compacts are god awfull unless for a handbag, better to buy a bridge camera.

some bargains there

Some really good deals there, and especially at the cheaper end, it means you can get a fairly decent compact camera for the same price as a [email protected] vivitar out of argos.I'm looking to get my son a camera for his birthday, he'll only be 11, so nothing too fancy, but something better than the rubbish Mustek DV4000 we got him some years ago, mind you, it was only £15!
Thanks for posting, heat added.:D

What a ridiculous statement. I have a panasonic TZ10 which is an absolutely amazing little camera. I don't have a handbag but this fits neatly into my jacket top pocket. A bridge camera wouldn't fit there. A compact is just that. Compact. Good and bad ones out there depending how much dosh you are spending. Same with bridges. Compacts are ideal for slipping into your pocket when you otherwise couldn't be arsed taking a camera out with you and then wishing "I wish I'd brought a camera with me".

powered by AA lithium batteries! these cost £3-4 !! end up spending more in the long run. May as well get a brand new "rechargable one" for an extra 20-30 quid

Or buy decent rechargeable batteries.

Some bargains in here!

The FinePix L55 (the £29.99 one) are now out of stock. Still some good deals though!

Thanks for the advice. I shall buy the x100 instead.

Bought one for my cuba holiday

Thanks

Bought a refurb L55 for my daughter a couple of weeks ago (she is 8 ), and it is brilliant for her. Nice pictures, face recognition a definite boon for an 8 YO. Very light so probbaly not great quality case, but in her situation light is good. The rechargeable battery it comes with is good and you can charge it in the camera. So far, very pleased for the £29.99 outlay.

Got the T200 on this offer yesterday. I bought it for my mum but I'm thinking of returning it because on trying it out, I'm having trouble with the low light performance. The JZ300 is better and has the 10x zoom.

Mostly, I use a F70EXR and I love it.

PS: Fuji's idea of "red" is more of a dark crimson.pink. Very attractive but if you're not happy whipping out a pink camera, steer clear of the "red" colour options.

Thanks, OP. Ordered a AV200. Great deal

Says nothing about a warranty????

£12 more for brand new, slightly better AV230 at currys!

What a strange comment. Most modern cameras are capable of taking outstanding photos. The equipment used is far less important than the artistic capability of the person taking the photo.

I also have a Panasonic TZ10 (Leica lens) and it takes far better photos than my SLR and Bridge cameras because it is always in my pocket whereas the other cameras are at home

It is a strange comment. You can shoot handbags with almost any camera. I shot this with an Olympus E-P1 and Panasonic 20mm lens (a few days later this body and lens would get stolen from me in the gym!):

I prefer AA batteries in cameras it's more convenient as you can carry spares. Just get some decent rechargeables and its way better

Not voting as its not actually a new deal, the refurb models are always around these prices and stock changes regularly.

My S95 would beg to differ.

Disappointed to see no F200EXRs on there. No S200EXRs or S100FSs either.

The X10 is good though.

Apart from that, I'll leave them. A lot of people rave about the HS10/HS20, but they don't have the IQ of the S200 or S100.

Anyway, I don't know what I'm doing here, stop tempting me to buy cameras dammit. I already own a Canon 50D.

And they had another 10% off during Easter, so this is rather cold for me...

tempted by the 10x optical zoom one...

Hot.
Should include refurbished in the title though
