Hi All,

My First Post so please go easy.

I noticed the Deal on the Fuji 5700 Camera which I have been going to purchase but came across this instead, its a little more expensive but is higher spec and newer. I think its a great deal with a 2Mb memory card for under £150.

Fujifilm introduces the Fujifilm FinePix S5800, an 8.0 Megapixel version of FinePix S5700.

The Fujifilm S5800 is also fitted with a 10x long-zoom FUJINON lens and in addition, the Fujifilm FinePix S5800 is equipped with variety of shooting functions such as ISO 1600 sensitivity, Picture Stabilization (Anti-blur), Intelligent-Flash, powerful movie functions, and Super Macro mode. The Fujifilm S5800 offers a bright, 2.5, 230K LCD, with a refresh rate of 60 frames per second. Furthermore, the camera is fitted with a Wide View filter, enabling consumers to view the LCD at oblique angles, which is great for awkward shots or group playback. Despite the long zoom, the Fujifilm FinePix S5800 is remarkably compact.

Focal Length (Eqv 35mm). 10 x Optical (38-380mm)
LCD 2.5", 230,000 pixels

Hi All,

Sorry noticed its now out of stock but this is very recent, dont be put off this is £185 at PC World and Currys. Im kicking myself I waited a few days and am ordering the moment its back in.

The S6500 is also well worth considering at around this price point - £149 delivered from Amazon ]http//ww…S2Q.

I upgraded to this from the S5700 and I'm so glad I did. Pretty much everything about the S6500 was far superior to the S5700 (even though megapixels were lower, size isn't everything) with the wide angle facility (down to 28mm) and manual zoom lens making a real difference compared with the S5700 (and I guess would be the same compared with the S5800).

If you want a laugh - check out "Ebuyer TV" link for this product ]here
Some highlights include:

@13s "The fuji film finepix S5800 is fitted with a long 10 times fuji non lense and in addition is equiptedwith a variety..."

@2m40s "...ok and if i play that [photo] back I can see it on the lense..."

So you mean the screen then ...

Ebuyer Twaddle TV! - I havent laughed so hard in a long time. Perhaps Ebuyer could invest in a video director/editor who can speak english.

Have they really kept that stupid looking silver trim on the lens?
I wouldn't consider buying another S5x00 until they dispense with it.
