Back in stock, a little more expensive than a couple of months ago, but still great value for money. 16MP, HD Video, 36x Optical Zoom, 3" LCD. Black/White currently in stock. Fuji refurbs tend to be very good condition, the two I have purchased looked brand new. Use code 'paypal12' for this price.

36x optical zoom lens
Lens shift image stabilisation
3.0-inch, 460K-dot LCD
720 HD movie recording
25mm wide-angle lens
16 megapixel CCD sensor
4x AA batteries

got this a couple of weeks back, brilliant camera! only actually takes 3 aa batteries, need to be good ones tho. the ones Fuji included only lasted a few minutes! I use the Duracell stay charged 2650mAh ones and the last ages! very very good value for money camera and as for refurbished, mine is indistinguishable from new so worry not!
Had refurbs from Fuji on 2 different occasions, no problems at all & both were as new.
Seems cheap for a camera with 36x optical zoom!
How much of an improvement would this be over the camera my xperia z2 uses ? serious question.
My Panasonic DMC FZ8 has just gone doolally (that's a technical term btw) and I loved it. Was looking to buy a cheap replacement for general snapping at stuff.

Anyone care to comment on if this would make a decent replacement please?

If you need the zoom, then yeah, a lot. If you rarely find yourself zooming in when taking a photo, avoid this camera. Currently selling mine!

Change your camera settings to improve the picture of your z2

Do Fuji cameras still take their own SD cards?

Always put me off them in the past.
Though I dont own this oarticular model , over the years I swear by Fuji caméras and own a few. Not everybody wants to manually fiddle around with settings or changing lenses and getting sand in. Technology has moved on, you just zoom to what you want and point and shoot.
There are zillons of progs now adays on windows and android to put in effects and manipulate your photos if you want. As to Aa batteries they are preferable as they are cheap. .4 rechargeable batteries is £2 in the pound shop, though better life would be had out of aldi or lidal, or maplin deals on higher capacity batteries.
If you are a dedicated camera nut you may enjoy paying loads of money for a camera , but for the rest of us there is no perceivable difference in the resultant shot of say your holiday shots compared to a fuji camera.
Thanks op for posting I am sure it will help a few people and for the money and a 50 zoom you cannot go wrong.
Correction my post should have read 36 zoom . and yes my fuji models take regular sd cards.
Would I be right in thinking currys have the next model up S6500 of £84.97 with 15% cash back on Quidco make it £72.23 for new model new camera? if so may go for this.

Anyone know of a good cheap case for one of these? Bought a white one (only colour left), thanks OP
Regarding AA batteries, expert in the area told me to use high capacity AA rechargeable batteries (ansmann 2850 NiMH) instead of any alkaline batteries which drain very quick,I can confirm that you can shot couple of 100s photos with 1 full charge, also will have some power after 8 weeks without use.
I think this is manufactured by Asia Optics and has been Oem'd for GEC brand also in the UK. Avoid this like the plague.
Thanks for sharing OP
