Seems a good price. I can't see any mention of a warranty on their site. Is it a UK model with Fuji Warranty etc?

Retailer aside, I have the previous generation of that (the XF1). It's a lovely camera but suffers from a design defect on the lens, mine got that problem and was repaired under warranty.
If they have fixed the issue on the XQ1, then I'm recommending it. There's a new XQ2 but the differences are very few and it's not worth to pay more.

The Lens Control Error was a common problem with XF1. There are no problems with the XQ1 that I am aware of.

It's a very good price. I would check it's supplied with a UK Warranty though. Fuji support is A1.

This camera was £99 when I got it from Currys 6 months ago, so I don't think the price is too special.

If I was spending this kind of money, I would go for the John Lewis Lumix offer posted a few days ago...

Not the XF1, I had looked at it but passed it by specifically because of the lens error issues mentioned earlier in this thread.

I didn't post mine as a deal as it wasn't listed on the website, and I suspected it would have been a wild goose chase for stock. Probably would have gone cold for this reason.

I'll head off the "time-machine" comments with the point that my intention in posting was to highlight that the LF1 is a better deal.

ah sounds like a clearance deal then surely so not that indicative of the value as they are hit and miss
great buy though
i agree if spending 150 the lf1 looks nice but if budget is 130 or have already stretched budget up then this is a great option as well, speed of q1 focus is specifically mentioned as being very fast which is a major plus point though
(plus using the low light simulation below xq1 quality quite a bit better - not sure why thats different as thought iso was a guide to that really..)
image comparison here: dpreview.com/rev…561
pretty close except low light which tbh can be a major factor again

The advanages of the XQ1 over the LF1 are listed in the link below, but basically the XQ1 has better image quality than the LF1 (close to the Sony RX100), wheres the LF1 has a longer zoom and a viewfinder.
