Great Portraits
Fujifilms software based Face Detection instantly recognises the faces in the frame, and automatically optimises the focus and exposure for up to 6 faces at one time.

In addition, Selectable red eye removal detects and compensates for red eye in each face detected resulting in flattering flash portraits and party pictures.

Superior Low Light Sensitivity
The FinePix J110w is capable of achieving an ISO 3200 at 3 megapixels (ISO 1600 at full resolution), allowing you to shoot without flash in a number of situations; resulting in natural looking images that preserve the mood of the actual scene as the eye sees it. In addition, when the camera's Anti Blur system is employed, the ISO setting and associated shutter speed are automatically adjusted to minimise camera shake.

Ease of use
The camera is preset with an extensive selection of scene modes which make it ready to shoot anything from nightscapes, to portraits - in an instant. These include 'beach', 'party' and 'fireworks' for optimum photography, no matter what the event. There's even a 'Baby' mode to ensure those all important pictures of baby's first years look spot-on, with skin tones faithfully reproduced.

Simply select a Scene Position that suits your situation and the FinePix J110w automatically selects the appropriate shutter speed, exposure and white balance to ensure that you get the most of your photography; more stunning pictures, less hassle.

Movie Mode
When a still image isn't sufficient, the FinePix J110w movie mode, at 30 frames per second, captures movie clips with sound that are limited in length only by the size of memory card used.

"Slideshow" on playback
The FinePix J110w features a multitude of options for sharing images once they've been taken, enabling you to share your precious moments again and again with Fujifilms new in-camera ‘Slideshow’ function, which displays images one-by-one

I think I might go for this, I need a camera thats nice and simple for my mum to use. Anyone recommend this? I don't want anything with bells and whistles just a nice basic camera for under £100.

seems a bargain.

Does anyone know or have an opinion on this camera Vs a Sony W130?
Both similar price, the Sony is slightly lower spec, but does it take better snaps?

the compact that has been posted from Amazon was also a good deal and £70. Has been posted but here is the link. I have the S6 model and the S4 before that.

I have the W130. The Sony has proper antishake (not faked in the FujiFilm), but the Fuji edges it out on image quality, especially at higher ISOs.

I don't think there's much in them, if I had the choice at the time I probably would've gone with the Fuji for SD card compatibility, otherwise go by whichever's cheaper!

i think fujis are very easy to use.... ideal for mums :-D

I bought one of these when they were reduced to £100, and I'd definately recommend it. Probably the best camera I've had for under £100 so for £85 I'd grab it while you can!

That's why i paid for next day delivery, might go to the wall if i had chosen free delivery option! ;-)

the j150w has a 3" screen and is only £10 more, i think i'll get that instead

I've just put my order in but I went for the £99 package with 5% off, from looking around on the internet its a good buy.....aslong as Jessops don't go bust in the next couple of days, paid on the credit card just in case though

i'm going to go check out both in store tomorrow, see whether an extra 0.3" of screen is worth the extra £10

Please let us know.
Thanks

I received mine today and I didn't order till about 9.30pm last night....this was with free delivery as well!! Now thats what I call service and the camera is brilliant, well happy with it!

Mine arrived safely and yes it is a great camera!

Bought few hours ago, heat added and bought, its now saying on back-order ? what does that mean, is it that they have none left and ordered more in ?

Just ordered one with the collect in store option. Camera is ready to be picked up in 1 hour! Can't complain with that at all. Camera is for my sister so it won't get used until her birthday at the end of the month so won't be able to comment on quality until then.

Recieved today, camera is excellent well worth the money

offer still valid. you can use the code for 5% off when you collect in store. for ordering it online i collected it 30 minutes later. well happy
