hi VJ, I see you said you bought the JX200, how is it? whats the 720p video quality like? can you use zoom function and still record sound?(I read the A series don't record sound when zooming) and is there a 15 minute recording limit for HD movies? what the build quality like? is it all plastic and quite flimsy? and is the Li-on battery quite long lasting?

Haven't used video recording much, so not sure about the sound/zooming/time thing. I'll try tomorrow and let you know. Build quality is good - back and front plastic, with metal/chrome bit around middle connecting them. Feels solid.
Again, as I haven't used it much, I can't comment on battery life - only charged it once so far. However, it doesn't appear to charge when connected via USB, so you have to remove the battery and stick it in the wall charger - I'll probably get a spare off ebay for when I'm out and about.

edit: Just checked - Records sound whilst zooming, but video is limited to 2GB (720p = 9m51s and 640x480 = 29m5s)

There's a fee Jessop deals here tonight. I started looking at the deal for £50 then the £60 odd Nikon now this...

Sod it. I'll end up blowing a grand if I don't get one ordered soon!

Review first though... Now. What was the name of that search engine everyone's always banging on about?!?

thanks for the info, don't understand why the limitations on recording 720p video, is it depending on the size of the memory card I wonder? anyways whats the quality of the 720p video like?

Don't think it's the size of the SD Card - I'm using an 8GB Transcend Class 10. The manual also confirms the 2GB limit (Hopefully, they might bring out a firmware update sometime to remove it). The video quality is good (good enough for me, anyway) - someone's put a couple up on youtube if you want to take a look.
