Voted hot but does anyone know how it compares to the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS3
(hotukdeals.com/ite…462)
and the DMC-FX33?

A newbie in cameras who just wants quality pictures taken during days and nights out is confused on which one to purchase... :$

You can get this at the same price if you use the code QUIDCOFIVE and you can get 3% quidco as well. If you use the code in the original post, you won't get quidco.

Thanks rose_cat_jr I've added the QUIDCO5 to the OP too.

I bought one of these for my Mum at Christmas (Additions Direct £30 off first order voucher) and picture quality is very good and the camera is simple to use. My Mum is a pensioner and she had no problems getting to grips with it.

A good find for a good camera.

would also like to know which one is better out of this and the Panasonic Lumix.

Can be had for £69.99 here secure.fujifilm.co.uk/sho…0fd

But they are classed as refurbs. but most of the time they are brand new .

But the price above is good for a shop price

They'll both do a decent job for you but I'd go for the Panasonic any day. They have excellent build quality and picture quality whereas there seems to be a view that Fuji trade on their name but aren't as good as they used to be. My guess is that the small lens on this one is a limitation whereas the Leica branded lenses on Panasonics are excellent. To my mind the Panasonic is more of a 'proper camera'

I note that the Fuji now also uses cheaper and widely available SD cards like the Panasonic, which is a good move, so the xD card limitation is no longer relevant.

I suppose some would say the Fuji is more fashionable - if that's more important to you than performance.

Why not look up a few reviews and maybe look them over in the store?
