There are a few other materials in it. The lens is definitely glass

Good price for this camera heat added
Not a Fuji fan but this is a good deal. Heat.
OK, I submit, there are other materials (such as glass), but it's 300 notes for a camera that feels like a toy. It can produce some nice images but there's no premium feel to it. If you want to experiment with a mirrorless camera, go for a second hand Sony NEX5, it'll cost you about a hundred notes all in with a lens and it's impressive.
For 299 a brand new camera 📸 isn’t bad at all. Plus the colours one can get from Fuji are completely unmatched.

And the Sony comment has arrived.

It wasn't designed for somebody wanting to experiment in mirrorless cameras

Isn’t that model ~8 years old?
Good deal but much better value at John Lewis: £349 for the twin lens kit.

About that yes. This Gullwing Merc is about 65 years old...

It still outshines the newest Tesla Gullwing model

The Tesla has all the toys, wicked acceleration, is eco (arguable), probably very comfortable to drive, yadda yadda yadda... And yet with all those advantages, the Tesla doesn't look as premium or have anywhere near the panache of a car 65 years its senior.

Perhaps not the fairest comparison (the Merc costs a bloody fortune even more so now), but the point is that the Fuji is a plastic bodied camera, it's 300 notes but 'feels' a LOT less.

If you want to shell out your hard earned on the Fuji go for it. I note it's barely got warm.
The Fuji looks more like the Merc and the Sony coincidentally more like the Tesla. One is known for prioritising image quality even straight out the camera, the other for tech. It's a personal choice

Not sure if Nex-5 is much better than Nex-3, but I have NEX-3 and with average light (i.e. in a room on a cloudy day) smallest movement and objects are blurred, so I am just looking for an upgrade. Note sure if difference between Nex3 and Nex5 is so noticable that it would be worth upgrading.
I have to mention I am absolute amateur when it comes to photography and most of my photos are on auto mode.
