Redemption making this & £869! A really great price for this camera. I own one, and hesitated for ages before I bought it, but glad I did! Think I paid £1,100 ish a while back. It Is very much one of my fave things ( and I have a lot of things!)

Here's just a few snaps taken with it going about the day.

Thw detail recorded from the crop sensor is incredible. Built in WiFi so sned them straight to my phone to edit. Fully manual controls, or fully auto (or a mix of whatever you like). Built in film emulation makes editing unnecessary!

Here is the case. I think I sold mine for around £50-60 as I didn't want it. But it was nice.

It's the same price elswhere - Jessops, WEX Park cameras
Got mine from Park Cameras. It's lovely.
Got to be honest OP, I think it is the photographer more than the equipment that makes the photos above what they are.

Not entirely. See your point, tho but certain cameras give so much for functionality over other cameras or phones. I couldn't achieve half the stuff I wanted on my phone. Hence getting this.

You put it in to words nicely. I have a selection of cameras all used for different things.
The frying pan for frying eggs
The slow cooker for stews
And the sauce pan for soup
But they all cook.

Can't wait for the day a wedding photographer shows up to a wedding with an iPhone the bride's face will be priceless

Of course lots of wedding photographers use Fuji light and unassuming what you fail to mention is the glass on the camera which is often the most important part of all.

Probably not on its own no. But I take mine with me (along with a Nikon FF and Nikon Crop) it's not uncommon to use crop sensor with fixed prime as a wedding photographer. Take the Nikon D500 for example.

I must have missed the football shot in the pics above. Either that or you missed my point.

but nor would you take a drive for pleasure in a tiny small engined car.... a good camera is easier to use than a phone and therefore you take more better composed photographs, Once you have used a good camera it will always be your preference over a phone but a phone is great for when you have no camera with you.

Disagree; you need to read up on sensor technology and lens quality.

Yes a smart phone can take any picture but a good camera will take a better picture most of the time. It's down to you whether you want the better picture. You clearly don't so agree for you its not worth buying a camera.
I particularly like the first B&W shot; works so much better than being in colour.

True that a modern smartphone can capture most things and I’d argue that they do it quite well too, but I wouldnt go as far as to say cameras are past their sell by date.

There are many people in this world who are after little bit more control of their photographs and treat photography as an art form or hobby. These are the people (along side professionals) who understand and appreciate the equipment they use.
