great find, ive one to compliment my dslr, great camera...bargain.
i got this from amazon a couple of months back to take on holiday, 90ish!. Its pretty good for taking snaps around the pool and in water, not up there with quality of my phone or dslr, but really handy for capturing a few shots without worrying about dropping in water.

thumbs up at 67!!
If you cant source in currys and are still desperate for 1. Fuji shop do refurbs at £60 with 1 year manufacturer warranty if it is over the 21 days of Fuji delivery.
If you want to buy a camera for your kid, buy one of these not one of those rubbish "kids" cameras. These are brilliant for kids, and pretty durable, which is essential.

Funnily enough that's exactly why I'm buying one. My daughter likes to take her Kiddizoom out but she gets frustrated when her pictures "don't look like Daddy's". This should certainly be a big improvement for her.

Can't go wrong IMHO. Fixed focus, push button, even my youngest was using his sisters when he was 5!
I see it says the battery is good for 240 photos.

But does anyone know how long battery lasts for videos?
Was thinking of picking up something cheap like this for upcoming holidays and camping. Reckon it looks pretty good for the price to be fair? Any thoughts from anyone who's used one? Bearing in mind it's £67 I'm not expecting DSLR style images, the durability is what probably swings it for me. I reserved one near me, so gonna do some reading first Let me know if you know, cheers!

battery life seems to be the let down on this, but I can only speak from reviews.. Was quite tempted but it's mentioned in a few reviews at a glance.

Very good, I think I charged it once in the 2 weeks holiday...
Looks great if you can find one. I know phones do it all now but this has optical zoom and durability, plus a big name in cameras behind it. Even if your phone is waterproof, you wouldn’t want to swim with it but potentially this will be fine as an alternative. Or somewhere risky like up a mountain - I’d rather have had this on three peaks than meddling with a phone.

Fair enough! You may have swung it for me It's so bloody cheap, I just like the idea of having something I don't have to worry about when in the water, out in the rain etc. No problems with durability then?

Same thoughts it was bashing about every where in water rocks, no concerns. Toddler dropped it a few times, so passed that test.

I also have the ip65 case for my phone but I decided against using it as I already smashed the last screen after just getting it

stupid site sucks up your photo then resizes it at 1024pixels max
you could always post a 100% crop of the 'action' could barely tell there was a bird there
I was lucky getting one of these and I was so close to getting another shoddy experience from pc world. I arrived at the store after 90 minutes of travelling on buses and queued up at the counter. When it was my time to be served the lady kindly asked for my order number and then was talking to herself saying I am sure we dont have this in stock. She said to me that you dont have a voicemail so they couldn't leave a message. She then called someone else over and asked if they can track the camera so he replied saying yeah we picked it yesterday. He checked in the collection cupboard and there was nothing there. So the lady was saying to him "isn't this the order where we tried contacting the customer?". He then cottoned on and then replied yeah we did. I then said to her well I hadn't received a missed call. I was ready to go into complaint mode and ask what they were going to do about it as I had travelled pretty far and if they had tried calling I would have called back. In the end apparently they had the blue in colour but was a shop floor model which in the end I couldn't really care about the colour and it has been opened as I was just happy that I hadn't wasted my own time and money. In the end I managed to get the 3 year replacement plan for half price as a gesture of goodwill. So what started as a disaster ended up being saved! 😬
