Looking at buying a new laptop. wanted something that can play games (I KNOW IT CAN'T PLAY THEM ON HIGH SETTING) but that didn't break the bank. this is the best deal i can find atm. thought i'd post it as i don't know much about computers, so not sure if i'm missing some fatal flaw in the hardware. let me know.

Thanks

p.s how easy/costly to upgrade the ram? as far as i'm aware 4gb is the minimum for post 2010 games

Big spec for the dosh.

Only bad thing i can see about this is the processor, but it's still overall a good price.

Its rated at 3000+ on the cpu benchmark site, so thought it must be half decent considering you cant buy anything close to it for the money. will it handle modern ish games? stuff like skyrim, not bothered if i have to play on low setting so long as it runs smoothly.

I have a Dell laptop with same CPU, for the price it is really competent.

you beauty, was just about to order this on dabs site for 373.18, who says "you snooze you lose" I snoozed and saved £23.

cheers OP.

I've been looking for something similar. Not many deals out there for laptops with dedicated graphics. I'd considdered this form their website at £375 so this seems pretty good.

The 4gb RAM shouldnt be a problem with it having a dedicated 1gb GPU. It would only matter when using onboard graphics.

Anybody have any idea about the reliability/build quality of Fujitsu machines? thanks

it seems the 4gb is in one 'stick'. am i being naive here or does that mean theres space inside for another so would be easy in theory?

That's what I'm hoping, too. Seems like a good deal for the price and if I want better resolution I will probably hook it up to my monitor anyway

Ok, just checked. There are definitely 2x memory slots. Cheap as chips to get a second 4gb stick.

Been using the same Fujitsu laptop since 2006 running Windows XP. Never had a problem with it

Can it play emulated ps2 games ? or rome 2

Really like the specs for the price on this, unless anyone knows of a better deal I think this is the one to get?

I've heard Fujitsu have improved their build quality recently after going a bit cheap over the last few years. I can't see it being the build quality of an Asus, Lenovo, Samsung etc, but should be fine.

As said above, yes it will have a second dimm slot for more ram.

I think even smart phones can emulate PS2's these days.

Seems cheap to me. Seriously considering cancelling my PS3 order for this.

any discount codes?

isn't 2.5kg quite heavy?

hot

Wow, that looks cheap. Same model and even has 6gb RAM. Can't see where it says which GPU it has but it does say dedicated graphics.

That model number is using integrated graphics instead of nVidia GT 620M. Dabs used to stock it too.

Seems that this supports a maximum of 16GB RAM too.

There are better deals out there if your not interested in playing games (assuming your daughter complies with the stereo type)

I bought a laptop from them long time ago. Faulty camera, faulty mic. Problems to get a response. On the end they refund, but drag a time, so you can't leave a negative feedback. Check their feedback, it's not a coincidence.

Not really for a standard 15.6" sized laptop it's about right. Not the lightest, but not the heaviest either.

Also saw spotted this today, looks pretty good for the money.

Is it possible to upgrade the processor?

Hp pavilion 15-e072ea is better and cheaper its 320/330 ive just bought one and fan run Dunham city on medium dirt 3 on low GW2/LOL on high

Do you know where? I'm after a laptop but don't need a separate graphics card. I haven't seen anything better than this!

This would suggest otherwise, although not by much, plus it's integrated graphics on your laptop.

Try ordering it...

Actually purchased this 3 weeks ago at £375.00 (from DabsoutletEbay) as a replacement to my sons sh*tty ACER Netbook that got fried due to an unfortunate accident with a cup of juice. Warranty paid out full price (£299.99) so we added money to purchase this. Can honestly say that it was money well spent. Super fast, great build quality and the screen whilst playing .mkv movies is top notch. Super silent too. Only thing I was wary off was Windows 8 (loved Windows 7 and was afraid of Win8) BUT after taking a few days with it I'm now a Windows 8 convert. Love it. Gong to do what was mentioned before and stick another bank of RAM in. Highly recommended purchase.

Is this a refurb laptop? Good price if not though.

im looking for a nice cheapie like the Tosh ones that Argos were doing a while back but nothings popping up at all these days . anyone seen anything interesting for round the 170 mark ?

What do people do for warranties with laptops these days? I've always had laptops encounter problems after the first year. SquareTrade seems a bit steep.

Just bought almost the same 4 weeks ago but bigger hard drive
