...and the phantom cold voter strikes again!

And I thought it was just my dell deals he didnt like ;-)

TBH Mike I also saw this in an email from Misco and I was going to post it, but then thought that it will need at least another 256meg of RAM so thats pushing it very close to the £300 barrier.

Then in this day and age it has no DVD writer, so another £30 odd.

So by then you are into the Dell territory and the 1505 that I am using right now (£327 one posted last week !!)

So if you really do want a sub £300 laptop it is a good deal but for £50 you get a realistic amount of RAM and a DVD writer.

But rep and heat added :-)

PS I was not totally convinced it had WiFi. The Misco site talks about wifi standards but not directly say it has a WiFi card !

I'd have to agree with elitom, that spec nowadays is practically unusable there is much better value is spending £30 more e.g. ebuyer.com/UK/…094 more RAM faster CPU larger hard disk etc.

Agree much better value and its an HP not F/S

I have never got on this F/S computers. we have them at work, both laptops and desktops. The compacts desktop are terrible!

Also a friend has a basic F/S laptop and using WiFi is a PITA. You have to manually turn it on after every boot up !!! what a pain !!!#
