Netflix charge extra

Netflix also has no adverts.

£1 more then maybe, £3 can **** off.

Yeah, Coz it's not like Netflix charge you extra for the HD and UHD services.

How does this work. Is it a single £3 regardless of how many passes you have. Are they all in HD. Are they in HD through the Android/Metro apps?

How about a super boost to 4K for sports and movies!
£3 more for what should be the norm :/
Ridiculous that they're charging extra. Also no Apple TV support
this should be inc as standard not charge extra

I don't mind paying for 4K because that's actual up to date tech. Everyone else has been offering 1080p for donkeys years.

NowTV has already had a £3 price increase across my entertainment and cinema packages this year, for what? Disney Plus looks set to canibalise half of their cinema content next year and it'll be another streaming service offering with 4K available.

2019! You pay for 1080p! 4k coming in 2075
Full HD, the future is now
Finally.. about 2 years late to the party! Of course they were going to charge extra, anyone who thought it would be included is just being naive. Same as Netflix and other services

I remember them charging extra for colour, well it was only 2 years ago!

Fyi if you add this make sure you go device settings -> system -> power -> system restart

Otherwise it will default to 1080i and not 1080p
If you can bargain though with the offers when you cancel it can kinda offset so of the cost. My 6 month entertainment pass ran out, paid 1 month at £8.99 and then cancelled and got an offer for £1.60 for next 3 months, so net spend £3.45 per month. I always find if you cancel as soon as you activate the pass then you dont get any offers but 1 week before pass runs out and you get great offers
I've never had any problems with the standard quality on my tv and have managed to watch plenty of shows and films over the years. Personally I'm happy they are doing it this way rather than automatically adding the extra cost to everyone, at least now people get to choose and everyone that has been moaning about the quality all this time can have it, if they are prepared to pay for it.

Netflix has no adverts in both SD and the pay-extra HD version, not really a factor. Not sure why Netflix wouldn't be criticised
the same.

Except this takes the price of NowTV to £3 more than Netflix for the same quality of streaming and a much worse selection of content.
1080p came out 2009, Good old sky.

Working on my Apple TV 4K box.
How do you actually add this. Can’t see it on my now tv account ?

On the page that shows all your passes scroll down to the bottom of the page and it's there. You need min 12mb connection to view full hd.
Cheers. Didn’t show in the app.
More than a bit cheeky to charge for what should be a minimum service (the current offerings is more like upscaled SD than true 720p). Will give it heat as you can watch on 3 devices so I guess you can share your pass

Netflix and prime support in apple tv
If nobody pays for it they’ll start giving it out free! They already have the service now it’s not like they’ll rescind it when Netflix and others are 4K etc

Netflix doesn't need Apple TV. Whereas apple are desperate to attract customers
