Just do what I did and take on there cheapest package and download "live net tv" on your phone which will give you all the sky tv channels including sky sports and movie's and many more, and then just "screen mirror" your mobile direct to your tv.

Great deal, what did you do to get this - cancel and sign up elsewhere? Just about to do the annual retentions dance so great timing. I only have Vivid 100 but have a second TiVo so any advice welcomed. Thank you

Yeah I cancelled got a call from outbound and refused their offer and then called back 6 days before the account actually cancelled and arranged another outbound call to give them one last chance, the said it would be. O more than 48hrs, 3 days later they hadn’t called so I called back and they spoke to outbound on my behalf, they offered me full house for £40 but I said. Didn’t want to pay that much so they said they’d do it for £21
On Mix TV only - tho is deal is cracking, may call Virgin Media and enquire if they can match this if I can’t get the £21 rentention^deal

You got very lucky. My bill has just gone up to £84 after 12 months on the full house bundle including sky movies which was £55. Been on the phone 3 times now and the lowest they can do is £64... Had to give my 30 days notice.. They didn't seem to care. And yes it was retentions I got out threw to.

Yeah retention can’t give you any good deals they offered me the same it’s outbound retention that can offer better, wait and they’ll call you soon and that’s where you get a better deal.
I have until 14th Feb and mine has finished
Not had any call from virgin to get me to stay
How do you get in touch with outbound retentions

That’s weird, then call normal retention and tell them that they haven’t called you and ask them to put you through or speak to them for you, that’s how I managed to get this deal.

You cannot call Outbound Retentions - I understand inbound can arrange a callback but I have fortunately been called previously before getting to that stage. I always find this time of year stressful, but it pays off and always cheaper than it would otherwise be.
i tried for this deal... got told no way ...ended up paying 56pm with 50 discounted to account.. from my many call to them it seems to be where you live, we only have vm fibre where i live and they know that so they are less likely to do a deal as opposed to someone who can also get BT or Sky fibre, not as fast at 76mb but.. not far off the 100mb vm have.. was told this in around about way from the retention team..

But did you actually cancel? If not, it is highly unlikely you would get offered the better deals as that is how their system is set up and a different team on Outbound than those you can access calling in.

yes, i canceled ... gave 30 day notice and waited until 3 day before services would be cut off...

It appears there are exceptions then, it is disappointing when you see what others achieve and then are offered nowhere near that. Even if you cancel the Outbound team seem to have better offers than the team you speak to if you call in.
I put in my cancellation at the weekend and received a call from VM Loyalty team today (are they different to Outbound Retentions?). The offer was £10 less than the operator when I cancelled who offered £58, but still £48.50 for Full House with 100mb BB and 2 boxes (one V6, one Tivo). I have declined the offer and they said the cancellation will go through and return mail boxes sent out to send back the kit. He wasn’t really negotiating, it was apparently the best he could do . So now hopefully another call with a better deal ... fingers crossed!

Do you mean referral? Refer a friend is £50 for referrer and the person you refer - Topcashback and Quidco generally offer more.
I got VM last year through a referral deal which is coming up to 12 months, had 100mb internet, TV and Calls for £20pm! It was through someone on HUKD, then a call from VM.

Anything similar now?

exactly the same conversation I had with the loyalty team yesterday...few weeks to go for me so hopefully something good comes along
Some have mentioned that if you order with BT or others including transferring your phone number, it can prompt Virgin to make a better offer. Have people tried this and if yes how long after ordering do BT contact Virgin which prompts the call? I am only a few days in but could do without this hanging over me all month to get it sorted for another year. Many thanks
This deal is back on if anyone is still considering Virgin
