Bear with me on this one...

There are 2 patio heaters instore @ Homebase - One is £39.98 (can't remember name, and not on website), the other is £49.98 called Cuba which i have linked too.

The hottest deal though is using the £39.98 one.
Instead of buying it from homebase, go to your local B&Q (within 10 miles) and get them to pricematch it against their Madrid one which has similiar specs (link on next post).

We've just done this, and they also take 10% off, so we only paid £35.99 for a heater original sold for £114.98

I've mentioned the Cuba one for £49.98 as that seems a very good deal as well.

No... I just go indoors.
If it was that cold outside, and I wanted to have cold feet and half of my head hot, while standing huddled around a post, I still probably wouldn't do it outdoors while burning bottled gas that costs as much as peak time electricity, that needs lugging from a supplier and is heavy enough to give you a hernia.

I don't think you have to be an eco-warrior to recognise that these are a huge waste of money and will cost an arm and a leg to run when the alternative is just to put on some warmer clothing.

An absolute crock:p

just keep the bbq going throw another shrimp on and crack open another tinny

yeah warm that sky!!!!

cheers. just ordered 2. 1 for each side of patio..

I have ]this one from Woolies. I think patio heaters are a colossal waste of resources but this one can be used to rapidly heat the living room up after a day out. And, if I feel like killing the planet, I can use it out on the patio. I'll only use it to de-ice the step in the winter though. Dual purpose, cool

Actually i totally agree with you and the other post about these "heaters"
They are most certainly a waste of money and a bit pointless.
As has been said above if it's warm stay outside, and when it gets colder go indoors,
Common sense really.
