Just thought I would put it out there, as alternative to the CPW deal for those eligible. You will need your old Sky Id, Sky box and Dish etc, they will just reconnect you.

FYI - I left Sky over 6 months ago, but got offers in first month offering 50 or 60 % discount to go back. This deal should be £77 so please don't vote cold without a cheaper alternative.

If you want full sky package and have existing box, I think this is cheapest way of getting it? go to sky.com/off…r25 and enter your sky id

FAMILY DEAL HD available for £12 a month also

Suitable for those not interested in hooky boxes or questionable streaming (not getting into legal or technical arguments).

diaregard my comment...just seen photo
Currently with Sky but thought of leaving and signing up as new customer. Would rather save the faff and go for this. How long did you have to wait before receiving this offer?

I've been away from them for 6 months, cancelled whilst we were on holiday and came back to letters offering 50 or 60% discounts through? This is highest discount so far
hopefully Netflix et al is mullering Sky's customer base
I got the same today too. Wonder if it matters that we have broadband and line rental in the wife's name.
thanks for this....went thru the process and got the live chat fella. ended up with full HD package, sports and movies, one multiroom, phoneline and broadband, for 49 quid, as well as 100 bill credit. 6 quid less than I was paying yesterday when I cancelled (with the added bonus of no bills for two months with the 100 credit) and about 55 a month less than the "normal" bill for what I get.
£300 + £145.50 for TV licence = £445.50 for 12 months.

or watch BBC iPlayer + all the other catchup + Netflix for £50.04 for 12 months*. I know which I prefer.

(*subscribe to HD Netflix package using Mexico address for 109 pesos /mo = £4.17 /mo).

Except you still need a tv license and won't be able to watch tv as it's shown.

No TV licence needed for the above. No watching TV as it's shown, correct (watch when you want instead).

Legally you only need a TV licence to watch live broadcast TV. You do not currently need a TV licence to watch any of the catch up services like I player. I have a TV licence but very rarely watch live TV. I just can't be bothered with the arguments when the licencing people come knocking. If you can be bothered to tell them where to go and you genuinely never watch live TV go for it.

I guess it's horses for courses but I don't know of many people who would want to move over to solely on-demand viewing. Choice is much more limited, you have to put up with streaming issues and you'd be out of luck if, like me, you watch the news every night or some of the more obscure channels. Still, well done on the money saving.
Thanks OP. Was going to go car phone warehouse in the next couple of days to take up the £30pm offer but this one is even better.
I only cancelled a few days ago after having no luck on the phone to get a discount. I used the Chat and spoke to Simmi and got the family HD for £12 a month.

Chuffed with this deal

Ok thanks and was your contract already up or was it due to expire soon, and what did you say to them please on chat today
I got this in the post today - would have taken it were it not for Virgin Media offering me a good deal on the big kahuna bundle for 39 a month all inclusive (inc line rental)
Last year I took out a deal as a new subscriber. Family pack with HD and multiroom for £27.00 a month (everything apart from movies/sport).

Me deal ended and went up to £47.00. I paid this for one month, as a friend recommended me to do, and then called them. After about 25mins on hold ! I spoke to a nice scottish lady and simply said I need to reduce the cost, she asked if there was anything I wanted to cancel (multiroom etc), I said no I just can't justify paying £47.00 as I have netflix, NowTV and a tv with freeview.

She immediately knocked the price back down to £27.00 without me threatening to cancel etc.
So for a half hour phone call (25mins on hold, 5mins talking) I've saved £240 a year.

So not a 'deal' as such, but I'd recommend anyone to ring them after they've been a customer for over 12months. Just do it on a speaker phone so you can put it down and carry on with what you're doing for the huuge hold times.

From other comments whilst talking to people if you get through to an offshore call centre then you seem less likely to get deals, listen for a nice scottish voice ! If at first it doesn't work call them back.

Martln Lewis lists sky as the most likely company to offer you a deal

You need a TV licence if you own equipment with the capability to broadcast live television, regardless of whether or not you watch it. That includes a television set, a laptop or technically even a smartphone.

That's the case in Ireland. However, as this is Hot UK Deals and not Hot Irish Deals, you're talking total tripe.

Yes, it is the full package so it will include sports and movies as well.
Just been on sky chat still in contract by a few days the best I've been offered is full package sports and movies included full HD with 2 multi rooms for £48.30 a month plus £100 credit, declined the offer, want a bit more off before I take the bait.

It was a morning when I was off work, about ten-ish. It's definitely a call worth making. That £240 almost paid for my car insurance, I was so pleased. I did choose the 'cancel' option on the telephone voice prompts, but the operator just asked how they could help and cancelling was never mentioned. I was expecting to at least have to threaten cancelling, but she just offered the reduction straight away.

Not true
I was paying about £55 for a fairly basic package - ended up ringing to cancel. They tried to get me back a couple of times (before my 30 days was up) but I told them to stick it. In the end, they rang to do a "survey", after half an hour they had given me broadband, phone, line rental, entertainment pack plus box sets plus HD box, all for the cost of the line rental, so about £17 per month. That was on an eleven month contract which is due to expire in April. Then the whole rigmarole starts again, except this time I've got a couple of NowTV boxes sitting ready to go if they don't play ball.
Anybody know when best time to contact sky about a better deal my contract due to expire July

Ok thank you does everyone get these offers after cancelling as I really don't want a break in viewing just want to reduce my cost
Im about 40 days away from end of my contract and phoned today to see when they can accept cancellation.
She couldnt work out the exact day to call and cancel contract end date - 31 days so accepted the cancellation today.
No questions why or any attempt to try and keep me!
