Il hold my hands up and say I truly hated this game being a huge fan of the oridginal, I bought it on release then dropped it within a week. I went back maybe 9 months and it has improved massively and now enjoy it massively clocking up over 1000 hours game time. As for the pay to win, yes it's there but IMO it doesn't effect the online experience for the casual gamer, I certainly haven't noticed it and have a 60% win ratio and I usually automatch with random gamers. Would highly recommend at this price considering you have all factions available. Heat OP.

Han5gruber

Not sure if people are aware but this game is probably one of the biggest that suffers from "pay to win". Devs are actively trying to change the unlocks and progression system as the community has turned incredibly toxic with regards to it. Great game if you just stick to single player though!

PixelDonkey

Thanks for letting us know about this deal. I've just bought it and instantly received the key. You don't need to wait for an email - just log into your account and get the key.

JamesSmith

Well you've expressed your disappointment on two posts now - but I might point out that After Dark is generally popular so it's a minority view. Personally I like the eye candy! :p

tomboz

Found the DLC to be pretty poor for the money they're asking. That said; I've already sunk about 40 hours into the base game and so don't mind supporting the Dev by picking up the DLC. Will probably wait for future DLC to drop in price though as the next one looks just as lacklustre.

JamesSmith

Good find haha ;) ;) ;) Huh? It's been said the code for the night cycle is in the base game. That's a mere technicality. It's deployed in the same installer. To unlock the feature you need the After Dark DLC. It's well worth the price as it's absolutely beautiful ! :)

Very much so. Imo however it's a much better game (and series on the whole). Would highly recommend it although suggest thoroughly checking out any DLC you may buy for it in the future. I picked up the night themed DLC based entirely on the strength of the base game and was extremely underwhelmed. The upcoming weather based DLC looks equally poor.

Forza had so much more depth, nfs is a joke. the game is pure cheese. P cars is half ass in my opinion just like most of the games nowaways. For a 9 year old game forza moto 2 Had so much more to offer. I would think in 9 years things would get more spicy rather than dull.

johnstalvern

Project Cars seems like a fairly challenging sim game, but unfortunately it doesn't satisfy my car collecting itch; I still prefer Gran Turismo as far as sim-lite is concerned. The cars they've included are pretty bloody cool though, so I definitely feel that there is a focus on quality over quantity, which is nice. I also tried Assetto Corsa briefly, and when compared to it Project CARS does seem a bit more fleshed out 'campaign' wise. Basically Assetto Corsa was more like MS Flight Simulator for cars -- you just jump in and drive. There is no real conceit of it being a game at all. Saying that, I wish the career mode in Project CARS was a bit more detailed, or had some focus on achievement. The way it is now, nothing you do really matters or adds up to anything but some brief stats in a profile -- not cold, hard cash like in GT. I ended up buying a Logitech Driving Force Pro after playing it with controller for a bit. A wheel with force feedback really is the only way to play these games.

del00

Brilliant with the T150. Looked at this game but at £40 didn't bother. At £12.79 a bargain. Never thought racing games could be so much fun. Great find, thanks.

NorthOsiris

Thanks OP. Been waiting for the right price for this. Looking forward to trying it with the Rift in a few months.

Wow, I wanted to give the first dark souls a try and it seems to have gone back up to £20. Anyone know where I can get this for under £5? Cheers

imdave

Suits me as I have the DX9 version but never bought the DLC. Kind of crappy how they split the PC player base though, as the 2 versions can't play online together... By the way, it is an "upgrade" but it adds Scholar alongside standard version in Steam library, ie. it doesn't replace the original game (with original enemy placements etc).

This collection what really cheap at one point. Back up to £30 now that I'm looking to purchase. Haha! Just my luck. Gonna be on the look out again.

ocelot20

If absolution was was simply called absolution and had noting do to with hitman. Then I agree it would of been a good game. But it's a Hitman game and a really poor one.

0BS1D1AN

I also like Absolution quite a bit, really enjoyed the game. Did feel like the first few levels gave a lot of options on methods of assassination but then as you progressed it did seem to reduce the number of ways that you could terminate someone. Never did play the earlier Hitman games though so can't comment on those.

PLEYOR

Not a lot of love for absolution. I thought it was pretty good.

EllEzDee

The first is pretty dated, and the second is way too hardcore if you didn't play it back when it came out. Contracts is the highpoint, and Blood Money is lots of fun and easy to get into. As far as i'm concerned, the pack only has 4 games.

Gamer_U

Was playing it the other day on my 360 but the whole gameplay being too scripted really ruined it for me. They could have offered to either interrogate the criminals or shoot them down. I'd have taken the latter most of the time unless they'd proven they were worth of being left alive.

FactProvider

'I suspect this game is too sophisticated for today's audience' - it's a console game. So no, it's not too sophisticated.

ollie87

I've been playing it - the most upsetting thing is that it's locked to 30fps! What's the point in playing it on PC in that case?

mark6226

I've been playing this all morning and what a game. I'm playing at 4K settings and the game looks superb, much better than new games like fallout 4. This game is so absorbing and way ahead of its time. The branching AI is superior by far to Witcher 3 ans it's actually imperative to gets things right unlike in the Witcher where the branching is incidental. This really is one of the best and most innovative games of all time. Maybe the technology involved is to far ahead of today's games players, I'd forgotten some of the amazing stuff like reading non verbal reactions to questions. I suspect this game is too sophisticated for today's audience when people find rubbish like fallout 4 to be good. Thanks for sharing this deal. At £4 it's a steal.

Thanks OP. Had it on 360 a long time back but never started it. Will give it a go on PC instead.

I know there's Civ V in the Humble Bundle but this is the complete edition with Gods & Kings, Brave New World and all other DLCs. If you bought it in Humble Bundle, you can think of it as buying the DLCs for just £3.32, which I think is worth it :)

You are meant to downgrade like I did, Version 1 of GTA San Andreas has mod support plus a frame rate remover so it runs at 60fps rather than the 30fps the default versions are (3 and VC have 60fps mods too that is just a case of open exe and select framerate you want) I use a PS2 pad connected to a USB convertor and only problems I have with all of them is the prompts showing JOY1 etc.

JohnOFarrell

I'd recommend playing GTA 3, vice city and San Andreas in any order before playing 4 and 5. there's no real continuous story or anything but in terms of gameplay, if you start with GTA 5 and work backwards you will notice all the limitations in GTA 3 like not being able to swim, no helicopters etc whereas if you play it first you won't notice it. Besides I'd argue that vice city and San Andreas are probably the pick of the bunch, just need a sale on Ps store now :D

all 3 were great. 1 is a little dated now but 2 and 3 are great to play.

M4cc45

Personally I thought Max Payne 3 was the weakest game due to the massive change in storyline and it being much more generic. The storyline in Max Payne 1 and 2 was really good. Why they didn't continue on and conclude the story (immediately after the rooftop) I'll never know. Cracking price though for the bundle.

mark6226

Max Payne is one of the most important games of all time. It paved the way for FPS. I had this on a souped up PC when it was the first game to take advantage of the radical GeForce 4. I played it on a 19inch flat screen digital monitor with 5.1 home theatre. That set up cost over £2000 around 2002 or 2003 and at the time was amazing. I'm not sure how Max Payne will look these days but this is a great deal. MP3 was a great game on the 360. It was much easier than Max Payne but games are easier now anyway. I think I will get this bundle as a treated myself to a gaming rig at Xmas. It's got a gtx 970 and runs in 4K. Let's see if these games will go that far. Great deal. Thanks

What do you think?

coco2007

Did you buy it or bring it? Not clear from the OP.

liveinabin

Urgh. Nasty fake debasement of Ridge Racer. Kill it with fire!

deeperthought

Overlooked and underrated, one of my favourite Xbox 360 games.

uczmeg

It's not Ridge Racer, but I actually love this game. Once you work out that you only need the hand brake to start your powerslide rather than holding it down the controls start to work and I've had a lot of fun with it. Very under-rated and easily worth a couple of quid. Hopefully they'll make the 360 version Xbox One compatible soon.

For people who have never brought a pre-order digitally, you get the key straight away and will redeem on steam, but will be unlockable/playable once the game is released (also just saw, the devs said the game could be pre-loaded by up too a week, so means it could be downloadable in a couple of days)

Anyone have problems with Funstock? my order has been on hold for over 18 hours... Doesn't fill me with confidence.

DanH95

I have a laptop with an AMD A8 processor, and both sims 3 & 4 have no problem running at all, even with the expansions! (_;)

Phila4

Thanks for the replies. My daughter is an uni and wanted some games to play occasionally as a method of chilling, but her fave game of Sims won't apparently play on her laptop (which she bought I'd add!). The funny thing is I was looking into buying her a better laptop and was looking at an AMD A8 or A10 based one. Yet everything I seemed to read suggested that neither would play the Sims, but it may play Sims 4 ok ish but certainly not Sims 3. I would have thought the Sims 4 would have been much more demanding than Sims 3 as it's newer and visually much better, but apparently not. And the problems with both seem to come from installing any expansion packs - apparently everything grinds to a halt if you do and you need a much more powerful lappy to play them properly. Weird!

We run the lego games on a zotac celeron mini pc with less power than that one so you should be ok, at worst you can lower the games settings and should run fine !

The system requirements shown on Steam are quite minimal. Literally like .5gb of ram and a 512mb graphics card with a 1.0ghz processor. Quality point and click game, played this as a kid and struggled to get past biff in the Nazi castle, now thanks to a youtube walkthrough completed the game. This game is from a generation when games were big and took ages to complete but you actually got satisfaction from completing the game. Too many games now are either too short or just continue on without actually completing anything.

Never bought anything from this site. Anyone used them before? Any problems?

bryngreen

I bought this on release and it was delivered 2 months late (Zavvi, of course), played it for an hour didn't touch it for ages. Finally went back to it a couple of days ago and finished it in a 10 hour sitting, absolutely wonderful game. The combat is a lovely little system, the artstyle is gorgeous. For £2.39 you can absolutely not go wrong.

MrCollective

This was one of my most favourite games last year. The style of combat system was one that I hadn't played for a very long time, you could say since the days of playing Pokemon almost. The visuals and soundtrack made it almost therapeutic to a point of falling to sleep in my chair (Not due to boredom, please dont make that assumption as it was so far from boring) The game is an absolute gem. If you like RPG's its 100% worth it, if you are not a huge RPG fan it is still 100% worth it. For the price of £2.39 you will receive 12 hours+ of game play at a minimum. I haven't played this with the new Steam controller yet. So may do a 2nd run through!
