It has 360 and XBOne controller support, so you should be able to get it working on ps4 with what ever controller mapping software you usually use. I can't remember the name of the package but I'm pretty sure there's tools online that allow you to use xbox controller drivers for PS controllers

comshoplesce

playing it on ps4, it owns :)

condracky

I know they will if you use DS4Windows, it emulates the 360 pad.

Do PS4 controllers work with the PC version? Cheers

No one is blaming them :). We aren't supposed to be able to purchase from them anyway. It's aimed at that market for that price for a reason. It's certainly not for our benefit.

Gone up £27.99 now :( any other deals on this?

slayermatt

It's no Nuuvem's fault though. It seems publishers are just being a bit harsher on the region locks. Often games are region locked on paypal - especially from 2k games. There's obviously more publishers but they're the most prolific. MS aren't that harsh so I suspect this would be a simple VPN (or even no VPN) job.

Yes, I agree with abaxas. I use to have so much fun with Dirt Showdown and for that price it's an absolute steal.

BuzzDuraband

I'd have to completely disagree with that statement regarding Showdown. Granted it's not the best entry to the DiRT series, but it is far, far from a title that wants to be avoided. You've just made it out to be some kind of train wreck of a game, which it isn't. I enjoyed it, and so did a lot of users on Steam by the looks of it (9/10).

johnno73

Showdown is fun online. Not sure if still active tho.

abaxas

Grid and dirt 3 are amazing games. Just buy em. Showdown is however not so good and probably best avoided.

Brilliant game. You will not be disappointed.

Battenberg

To echo Buzz and Turkey it's great (although I actually think it's better than the first unlike Buzz). Pretty sure I've already spent well over 100 hours on the 360 version and I still bought it again for PC if that gives you an idea of how much I enjoyed it. If you can persuade another person (or two or three) to get it and play co op with you it's even more of a blast imo but the single player's already well worth the entry fee.

BuzzDuraband

Absolutely brilliant game. Admittedly not as good as the first, but with all Borderlands games you certainly do get a lot of bang for that buck. Heat mate.

I remember when it first came out for the xbox 360 there was a mission me and my girlfriend used to do that got you something like 50-100k everytime you did it we had millions and then rockstar updated the missions and removed it meaning it was near impossible to make good cash. what's more interesting though is i never cheated and i had a couple of million on the xbox version, transfered my character over to pc, the money was gone however i had 6 of my 10 cars of course the higher value cars which i paid big bucks for were gone. But i don't know i've played a few times now online and theres modders/hackers with every car in the game and spawning money bags right infront of me and people constantly asking for money droppers as far as i was aware rockstar bans anyone who banks the money reguardless if they modded or not, which still seems very bizarre to me pay £40 for a game then have to buy the cash to play the game as the armoured trucks don't seem to drive around anymore either.

gizmo2501

You can add me if you get it! ;-)

reddragon105

Yeah, that's my problem - I don't have a next gen console, I might get one eventually but I'm primarily a PC gamer so I've got plenty to play and I usually wait for console prices to come right down and then just get exlusive games for them, so I'd rather have it on PC at the moment because getting it on a console would cost around £300 rather than £20. I do have some friends that play it on console, but there's about an equal number on PS4 and Xbox One, so I wouldn't know which one to go for if I did buy one! So it looks like I'd be stuck with random people on the PC version, not that I mind making friends online, just that if the hacking is that bad it sounds more frustrating than it's worth! At least I'd have first person mode and the video editor to play with...

gizmo2501

I think if you have friends to play with on PC in a private session it would be fun. But if you want to play online with randos, yeah, I would just avoid. Disconnects, loading times, hackers. It's not very good at all.

eynonz

Ah yes the great GTA V wild good chase. I remember it well.

reddragon105

It's just been 33% off (~£26) on Steam for the last few days. It will probably get that same discount again on Steam in the Christmas sale so possibly other places will have Rockstar codes cheaper then as well. This is all really disappointing to hear. I got it on the 360 when it first came out 2 years ago so I've played through the single player. I was considering rebuying it on PC just for the multiplayer but now this has put me off. Don't plan on getting a next-gen console, at least for a while, and if I did I wouldn't be able to choose between a PS4 or Xbox One because I have an equal number of friends that play this on each one!

Agreed, I much preferred Dishonored over this game

wonkyleg

Every week this seems to come on sale at or around this price, and every time it goes hot. Terrible game, a travesty to the series.

cheesemane

Personally think this was better than Deadly Shadows, but not as good as TMA or TDP. Both Deadly Shadows and Thief 4/2014 have a distinctly different feel to each other (and to the original 2), which some will like, some will hate. This is a good price for a good game which is trying to fill very big boots IMO. Lots of people feel very strongly about this series. Also, another upvote for Dishonoured, which fits into the genre very nicely.

Malice19

i was not that impressed when i first played it but i then went back to it to give it another chance and after a few levels in i really got into it and at this price its well worth it. Runs/looks great if you have a decent pc, running along the roof tops. Sorry about title but just remember pre odering it when they originally called it thief 4 :-P

fishmaster

Buy Dishonored, which was inspired by the original Thief series of games. A massive world of difference between this game and Dishonored. Thief 4 is a dishonorable disgrace to stealth gaming, give it a miss is my advice.

Sounds perfect for me then, cheers! I love the challenge of playing the same section over and over until ive mastered it, feels more productive than watching videos :) Also to anyone wanting to buy this without the cable, after a few hours trying last night, the patch didn't work for me (it did but the crackle made it unplayable, sounds smooth as a nut in audacity but on this it was a no go). I wouldn't bother buying this as the cable is around £25 separately and you can pick up the game and cable combo for £12 on ebay + no lengthy download. Anyone feel free to correct me, I would love to be proven wrong as then I could actually play the game! Its also piracy as its a patch that bypasses steam, and no doubt most links will contain viruses.

Thanks op.

bought this mainly as a method to encourage my daughter to practice more but was having a go myself last night. It's pretty good at finding your level automatically and then pushing you. however I found that the way the 'tiles' visibly move towards you encourages me to be a bit early.

JDPower

Yes, absolutely. I've tried learning a couple of times in the past from DVDs, books etc, and always gave up. I would totally consider myself a beginner (can strum a few chords, thats literally all), bought this earlier this year and it got me far closer to playing actual songs than anything else (had two songs almost nailed on rhythm), and was a much more enjoyable way to learn. Don't get me wrong, it's not easy, you WILL find yourself doing well on a song only for the number/complexity of notes to increase and throw you completely, but stick at it, slow the track down for tricky parts, and play it or practice REGULARLY and you'll make solid progress :) (the latter was where I failed - other things took priority and I stopped playing) Oh and I had no issues whatsoever with the cable.

I'm pretty sure that at some point somewhere, this game is always on sale. Dies anyone not own it now? That said, I loved the early Tomb Raiders and gradually grew to hate the franchise as it started to represent what I thought was worst about the videogames industry. Bought this game on sale as a friend talking me into it and it still took me about a year to finally decide to play it on one quiet weekend morning. I finally forced myself to stop playing it about 7 hours later because I felt like the game was wrapping up and I thought I was going to complete it in one sitting (turned out I was about a third of the way through the game and merely nearing the end of the first act, its a good length). Now it's just become one of those games I'm constantly trying to get other people to play.

You're not very good at coming up with retorts.

upset.brown.pant

I'll give it a go mate if you don't mind. I enjoyed the previous game on the 360 years ago. I've heard this one is a bit dodgy though.

loiterer

I bought this only to find that I already had a copy in my Steam library. Notified when I went to Activate the game. If someone would like this code I'll post it on condition that you let me know if your Steam account accepted the code or not as I don't know how Steam deals with dual activations (and I've a few keys which I don't know if they are valid or not anymore). I've always suspected Steam may just steal the second key from you, whereas they should state something like "A code has already been used to activate this game previously and this additional key submitted has been rejected and added to your inventory. You can pass this key on to a friend or do with it as you wish given it is your property."

They didn't responded to support email but they did update my order page today which now has both keys. I think it's weird they haven't sent me an email since I signed up with them, I've checked my spam mail & nothing. Is this normal of them? Is everyone else receiving email from them?

Nice! And both games can be turned into VR-O-Vision games using Vorpx for those planning to get a VR HMD in the not too distant future (although FPS games are supposed to make you want to throw up apparently lol). X)
