Great game and heated. A must if you haven't played it. I'm tempted but I played it so much back when it first released I don't know if I could go back to it now. Maybe if the remaster was really good, but I read that very little has been done to it from the original release...

Great, just bought it. Really good game, too bad bad about the awful ending.

Gah, I'm pretty sure it was a joke/sarcasm! D: Seems in recent weeks, some good deals for PC games are unfairly (IMO) being voted cold, and some of the reasons included "you're flooding the New Deals page", whereas in general, a lot of Console related stuff get mega heat. I think it was just a play on that, don't think he actually meant it!

maizecorn

Is it still broken? Was unplayable last time I played it.

Quickdraw

I enjoyed SimCity well enough (not enough to get the xpac though). My biggest complaint is the limited space for growth, but other than that, it is a blast.

RokkaMan

I have about 90 hours put into this game, Sim City's endgame was always perpetually **** but the expansion pack fixes it. The glitches are now non-existent but once your population starts going over 300000 the game really starts to run like crap, and this is even with a GTX 780.

TheDanbonator

got to love simcity I've clocked well over 50 hours and still go on every now and then to start a new region. For all the negatives it is pretty fun, just wish some of the dlc wasn't so expensive.

Yeah just read the page, the deal was just posted on reddit so didn't read it properly. Seems everyone has a Rockstar sale on. I am thinking it has something to do with them changing the ToS on GTA to basically say if your game stops working because of GFWL then it isnt our fault.

The activation of this version looks horrible. I blocked it with my firewall on it's first attempt just to see what happened and you get this:[image missing]These people can't even spell so the likelihood of the activation system still working in 6-12 months time is probably slim. So it's a good price but the delivery and activation system is archaic.

idbirch

Went for this and it turned out OK. Their packaging and delivery method of the game is somewhat clunky though - they supply 2 .bin files (which must retain their original filenames) and an exe for doing the install. All 3 files need to be in the same directory then run the exe. I can't run the game til I get home but they also supply a product key which I assume I'll be prompted for when I run it. Cheers OP.

I see, well I don't mind where I get a game from as long as the site has good reviews. Where do you search for games Jaystan? I've been using isthereanydeal and dlcompare to compare prices but was wondering if there are any other decent comparison sites....

jaystan

What happens is they buy the keys from another region in bulk and then sell it in another so they get the keys at a low price. It is a legal grey area. Nothing has happened in a while now and probably won't but this has happened: http://www.kotaku.com.au/2009/11/valve-bans-grey-market-modern-warfare-2-keys/ GamesRocket was banned for self promotion i think.

FBTurtle

Forgive my ignorance but what is a grey key seller? I've posted a few deals since I joined but then I tried posting some from GamesRocket and Code4Game and they were rejected due to being non UK. Both sites are good on TrustPilot so was a shame as the deals I found were decent and worked fine for me.

There are hundreds of mods available for this game that have significantly improved it. There is a mod called Divide et Impera that has basically overhauled the entire game. The enemy AI has been fixed, additional factions for campaign mode, improved graphics and model reskins, 4 turns per year, new battle mechanics and more.. Used in combination with a few other mods and it is a completely different game. It is a shame modifications were required to revive this game but im glad as hell they did.

Revolterz

if you want to know if the game is broken go to steam and look at how many hours people play the game for you can make two choices from this either they like to play broken buggy games for hundreds of hours or the game isnt broken you will see people saying dont buy the game and right next to their name it says 800+ hours played now i dont know at what point these people figure out the game is broken, but i dont play a broken game for more than 2 hours thats why ive played Rome 2 for 150+ hours
