Whilst all the frenzy is all about the p30, the Mate 20 pro should not be overlooked.
Has some superior specs , quad HD screen as opposed to just 1080 HD on the p20 pro.
At this price it represents much better value for money.
The Mate 20 is very much a flagship premium phone that was demanding £899 on its release & is still commanding prices of around £700.
At £575 this is a great buy.

Lol at old tech. I wouldn't say the p30 is a huge step over the p20, nevermind the mate 20 pro.
It doesn't have quad HD screen, reverse charge capabilities.

Also lol at 'old tech' - which IMO will be better than most of the phones released in the next 12 months.

And this round of 'flagships' seem more incremental upgrades than gamechangers. And unless you're a major tech enthusiast (and I love tech) or someone who has lots of spare cash or has to have the latest stuff for the sake of it, the smart money right now is on 'the last big thing'.

Agreed, next big step is the folding screen.
Way too expensive but prices will come down.

I've been looking at getting one of these, but some are saying that the 2 year warranty only applies for EU based companies. Can you confirm that you have a 2 year warranty, based on entering the serial number here? consumer.huawei.com/uk/…ry/

Ooh, thanks for reminding me about this. Just checked and my serial number checked out. The site reports back the correct model, 2 years warranty and the 'applicable scope' includes the UK.

Great phone & at this price it's even greater.
Thank you very much @adamderak for posting this deal.

I received the Twilight version today and it's absolutely stunning.

For anyone that may be a little wary of ordering from wowcamera and is interested:

- ordered 26/03/2019 using PayPal and received confirmation email (got the deal at £582.00)
- received shipping confirmation on 28/03/2019 along with UPS tracking code
- package received from UPS on 01/04/2019, came from Luxembourg.
- Well packaged. New and sealed box, which contained the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, EU 2-Pin Charger, USB Type-C Cable, Earphones, Quick Start Guide, Eject tool and USB-C to 3.5 mm Earphone Audio Jack Adapter.
- An EU to UK plug adapter was also included.
- 2 years warranty also checked and confirmed that includes UK coverage.

This is a great phone at an amazing price. I'm very happy

Cheers glad to know it all went well. It's an awesome phone & at this price well it's just great. Lot of needless scaremongering on here.
Wish i'd have got mine on here instead of getting an "as new" from ebay, that turned out to be more BGRADE!now i have to go through an ebay claim for a phone that was never sent! (2 ordered).Live and learn.
Well I've taken the plunge. Know a few people who've gone to Huawei and have zero complaints and just love the phone. Bumper battery, facial recognition is the mutt's nuts, camera brilliant and the UI generally good (one or two slight niggles but no serious game changing complaints).
Checked out one of said friend's Mate 20 Pro and damn it's a nice phone. Looks really good, just can't find fault in it.

With my iPhone 6S+ bricking in battery life, and Apple definitely mess with the older generations and phase them out. Well I refuse to give in to their absurd pricing strategy to gouge the life out of consumers, and when you consider the advances each model, it's an absolute joke that they ask for the price that they do. Was hoping since having my 6S+ that over that period, Windows phones would've made a comeback and become a more key participant, because their UI was excellent. But it never happened, Huawei have really stormed the market and at £565, you cannot compete for what you're getting.

Awesome phone. Unlikely to be seriously affected by the updated models due out this year in terms of advancements and new features. For the premiums of brand new models, it's just not worth it, and in contrast, makes the price paid for this phone, an absolute steal imo.

I've gone via Paypal, but a few people seem to say WowCamera is legit. I'll post an update as things progress, but yeah, great deal.

Absolutely mate, I'll give you a shout when things have progressed. Went for Midnight Blue, just love that colour and after my last 3 phones being various shades of black, and one boring grey, I'm pretty excited about something different.
Thanks for the post! Price is very decent for this phone, also as a dual sim model. I returned previously ordered Galaxy S10 Plus from MusicMagpie Ebay outlet, as they happened to send me greenish instead of prism black. Fingers crossed, the Mate 20 Pro will make me happy at least until next models are released. Waiting to read some feedback from other recent shoppers at Wowcamera. Thanks again, @adamderak

Thanks for the deal OP. Can confirm all fine with my order from Wowcamera as other's have reported.

Ordered: 8th April
Asked for update on the 12th (4 working days)
Reply received on 13th apologising for slightly longer than expected dispatch time (only 4 days!)
Shipped: 15th with UPS Tracking from Luxembourg, signed for delivery.
Arrived: 17th - well packaged.

Box included EU-UK adapter but when I opened the Huawei box it was a UK three pin anyway! Confirmed with IMEI number that it has the 2 year warranty.

Nice deal for a great phone.

Hi. I've received mine via UPS yesterday as well. I checked with AIDA64 the display panel is BOE. Also, if I got the instructions right, the serial number gives a manufacturing date for my phone: 16th February 2019. One thing starts to worry me a little about the display quality. Only today I started to notice a pink tone shift around the notch area, where the colour should be white (like in Chrome or Gmail for example). The screen resolution is as from default - Smart Resolution. Have You or anyone else noticed similar on their Mate 20 Pro?

I rushed to send away my one year old P20 Pro, as the prices have fallen dramatically. Before wiping off the older phone, I compared the display visuals, and was shocked how P20 Pro looked brighter, more contrasted and colour uniform (perhaps due to it being a flat display compared to Mate 20 Pro's curved). Would like to hear others experience, if this is normal for OLED or not.

Put it on full brightness & auto screen brightness off. Take it out in the sun & than quickly take it inside.
See if the screen adjusts & become dim after a moment. It looks like you have a screen ussue or a bug.

Thanks for the tip to try. I'll do it on my way to work after lunchtime and see if the issue stays. Are You referring to High Brightness Mode that boosts the screen brightness in direct sunlight? I like this phone so much, that I really hope it's only a bug and it will go away!

Huawei get a bit crazy with battery management & force the screen to dim, even when you don't want it to. This occurs even with auto screen adjust off!
Some have resolved this by going into developer options & scroll down till you find readability under sunlight, toggle this to off. Make sure auto adjust screen is off.
Also what display settings do you have?
Huawei have vivid or normal. Vivid giving more punchy colours.
I'm a huge fan of Huawei but dim screens seems to be a common issue.
