Cheapest its ever been. Bought this for Xmas last year full price and had a lot of fun with it, tracks very well and has a decent battery life. We fit it on our cat and its very small and light, doesnt bother her in the slightest... You can share cat journeys to online media etc, if youre into that. Would recomend, and at this price would make an awesome xmas present to any cat lover.

It is robust, weatherproof and super-light (only around 12g), meaning your pet will hardly notice it. It's even light enough for a pigeon to wear. It attaches easily to any sized collar using a soft silicone-rubber case that the unit can be popped in and out of. There are also two Velcro straps for oversized collars.

It's the only way you'll ever find out what your cat gets up to at night, how far your dog walks or, if you pay for a dog walker, G-PAWS is the ideal way to ensure your pooch is getting enough exercise.

HOW IT WORKS

The G-PAWS unit uses a high-sensitivity multi-channel GPS receiver that detects and records its position every five seconds. The receiver is accurate to a couple of metres and will continue to work even when positioned under the pet's neck. The 'tracklog' of where the pet has traveled is stored on the unit with the capacity to store hundreds of journeys. Journeys are downloaded and saved as a GPX file onto g-paws.com. When the memory is full, new journeys automatically 'over-write' the oldest journeys.

G-PAWS is powered by an internal Lithium-Polymer battery, giving it eight hours continual use. The GPS chip also has a motion-detector that 'powers-down' the unit when not in motion for more than five minutes so when at rest the unit will not drain power. Ideal for lazy cats and dozing dogs.

Your pet's adventures are transferred to any PC or laptop via the supplied USB cable, which also charges the unit (four hours from flat to full)

G-PAWS.COM--THE SOCIAL NETWORK FOR YOUR PET

The g-paws.com website has been developed on a 'social-network' platform. It allows you to create a profile for your pet and upload all their adventures. You can keep your profile private or choose to make friends and share your pet's adventures.

All your pets adventures are shown on a Bing map and you can choose aerial photography or street level mapping. Journeys are displayed by date and you can see your own or your friend's pets' adventures.

G-Paws also has a league table built in so you can compare (and even race virtually) your pet against other similar breeds from around the world.

GETTING THE MOST OUT OF YOUR G-PAWS

G-PAWS takes four hours to charge from flat and with eight hours continual use and an automatic power down function when stationary it is ideal to leave on a cat or dog all day.

To download your pets adventure simple log onto g-paws.com, create a free profile and begin to download the tracklogs direct from the G-PAWS unit to their profile.

To share and view other pets adventures just invite 'buddies' on the site.

We are having great fun with our neighbours GPS tracker fitted to their cat :-)

Sticking the GPS tracker inside a traffic cone and putting in the middle of a busy dual carriageway was hilarious as well as putting it on top of a multi-storey car park. Their GPS tracker is so good it can tell where the cat or not as the case maybe is within a few feet :-)

Also taking the GPS tracker on a road trip is quite fun as well

Awesome

can i put this in the birds handbag and find out where she goes when she is 'working late' ?

I was about to order in case the worst happened and our husky ever got loose, we could find out where she is quickly. But unfortunately you need the device back to sync it.

Was thinking that you could follow your cats route and then clear up the **** they leave in everybody's gardens, if only you could legally enforce this to happen as we do with dog owners then the world would be a better place to garden in

This looks better: ebay.co.uk/itm…120

At first glance thought this was a map of where your cat had been walking haha

You could, but it would be cheaper to ask me..... She spends most of the time in my bedroom!

Do they work on elderly mothers. Seriously toying with a TrackR to keep tabs on her in MandS

This was £19.99 on IWOOT a few months ago when I bought it, I was disappointed with it though and the customer support was non-existent,
