Nice watch for something different then an automatic watch. Discount code brings price down.

Quidco works too for an extra additional £13.16 off.

Before the prople grumbling about it being only a quartz Casiowatch for over a hundred quid, I'd just like to say this is the cheapest metal cased G I've seen.
I'll be honest, the reverse display isn't my taste, but heat given.

What is it with all these comments on here lately about Quartz watches? I have a fairly huge watch collection and nearly half of the watches are Quartz. Just because it doesn't have a mechanical movement doesn't mean it's not a quality timepiece. It's really strange and seems to be a new fad in ideology.

I personally don't have any use for such a watch, but a real no nonsense heavy duty watch without a doubt. I really like it, and great price.
i kinda like the inverted thing ...makes it more unique

This is not a Quartz vs Automatic debate

But a Battery vs Solar one, at this price point would've been better if this watch were a tough solar

Solar use batteries anyway, so I wouldn't say this was a deal breaker to me.

Ehh ? The point about solar powered watches is you don't have to replace the battery
I have a Tough Solar G, but when you consider loads of Casios (don't know about this one) take a lithium battery which will last for about 10 years, solar becomes a bit pointless really.

Maybe not for you, but definitely a deal breaker for many (including me), i dont want to be changing battery every two years and possibly losing water resistance if not done properly

That's not strictly true. Solar powered watch batteries generally last longer, but not always. I've heard many only last 3-4 years or less.

Yes, solar powered generally last longer, but they don't always last considerably longer than a high powered battery. You won't lose water resistance if the battery install is done correctly and pressure tested either.

I've got a few solar watches in my relatively massive collection and haven't needed to change a battery in the few years I've had them, but I have been warned that they are not lifetime batteries and they do fail. If you mean the watch in the post then no, I didn't buy it. I don't have a use for such a rugged watch, but I think it's a good price nonetheless.

All mine, I have many Casios, have lasted longer than that. With no sign so far of a shortened life.
I have the resin version do love the watch. And going by my Ana digi g shock that uses the same battery, it has lasted 8 years so far.
Also super easy to change. Solar is nice but not a deal breaker for me!
Code not working coming in at £164
So zero moans about it being a Casio quartz and 2 people moaning about people saying it's a Casio quartz. Sums up the of the internet quite nicely at the moment.
Nice watch btw, I have one similar with tough solar, Bluetooth and multiband 6 that I got for £58. Resin version. I ordered a metal strap and bezel for £42 which wasn't original Casio but it's still very good quality and fits very well. Exactly £100 for a metal G. I got lucky with with customs for the strap/bezel for the first time in a long time so paid no extra.
Very happy with the watch.
