Better than fl studio ?
I bought this years ago but found it to be a steep learning curve, and it would stutter a lot on my cheap phone.

I prefer Caustic, it's easier to use, and works well on the phone that G-Stomper struggled on. There's also a free PC version. It's not been updated for a while though.

Yes

Are there even successful songs made from mobile music apps?

This would be a Mobile sketchpad for a professional with a studio setup I guess whose results (hi-res wav etc) can be piped into their studio toolchain. For others it can be adequate for making original & royalty free tunes for whatever digital media like websites, podcasts, YouTube, multimedia productions etc etc. Tons of samples to create easy tunes fast for it by many devs, also many apk elsewhere online:

Not heard of this one..

The one thing putting me off about music apps on android is latency. You ever found a good experience on the platform? I'm by no means an apple fanboi, but I did buy an Ipad 4 years ago mainly for music apps and have always found IOS to be the better platform for music.

I used to put it down to having a crap phone but for the first time ever this year (due to a stonking deal on this site :-)) I bought something good, a p30 pro. Latency still seems basically unusable on every app I've played with. It's a shame because jamming out rough ideas on a touch keyboard is the main use I would want to use my phone for. Inputting notes and editing is just way better with a laptop/PC.
Between phones ... and ... computers, as I said, exist good models of:

TABLETS (like recent Samsung s3 or s4 or other good brands)
+
CHROMEBOOKS (which outsell Macs globally)
Gah. This has gone back to full price. Anyone recommend something similar for much cheaper?
