Bought this from Costco last week, to replace a broken Air Ram v1. It seems to pick-up a lot better and is quieter than the previous version.

Bought the Shark Duo Clean today and it's an absolute beast.
We bought one of these a while ago and we've had nothing but trouble with it. We bought a Dyson v6 to do the smaller hand bits as the gtec doesn't have a detached nozzle and we basically use the Dyson for everything as it's slot more reliable and better designed
Meh

Bought our mk1 about 5 years ago and other than replacing the cog gear (easy fix) it's been faultless and at least the battery lasts unlike our Dyson handheld which spends most of its time on charge.
Had Dyson uprights but wont be swapping back
Have this and the multi. Both are pretty crap, hardly pick things up and have broken several times. It has only had light use. Style over substance
I decided to get rid of my hoover and not use it

It just sits there collecting dust

Looks like it's sucked the colour out of your carpet!
Mum has this as she can’t handle a heavy vacuum. It’s just ok, struggles on thick pile. Emptying is a pain and the filter clogs quickly. The hand held multi is very poor. Doesn’t pick up well at all despite making a lot of noise and you have to keep the trigger button pressed all the time to operate. Think both are overpriced.

That's what went wrong with our v1 Air Ram. However, I'd bought it 5 years ago from Lakeland stores and they took it back for a full cash refund, as it was bought under their "bring it back if you're ever unsatisfied" guarantee at the time. Worth knowing about it anyone else purchased from Lakeland years ago. Amazing customer service. Needless to say they don't offer such an infinite warranty anymore.

yep it's a common fault as the plastic cog wears out especially if it get jammed as it shears the spines off.
Very easy fix and cheap parts.
loads of online tuition.
Can only imagine how many are thrown away because of this fault .
