Seems good to me, ultra posh coffee maker, many online retailers doing it for well over £1000

£ 519.00 @ amazon

Technical Details

The 1300 watt stainless steel boiler uses rapid steam technology when switching between brewing and steaming
Twin boiler reduces the waiting time between coffee production and steam delivery to just a few seconds, while the ceramic grinder retains the purity of the coffee aroma by grinding as coarse or as fine as you prefer
Features an LCD digital display and swing-up touch ring, which provides alerts and programming options for the menu
15-bar pump pressure ensures perfectly extracted espresso, and ceramic burr grinder with adjustable settings lets you customise your grind
The Gaggia 'milk island' uses steam from the boiler to make automatic cappuccinos and lattes--the 57 oz. water reservoir is removable for easy refilling

Whats with all the cold, its not a Frappuccino maker, its an espresso maker, lets feel a bit of heat, my coffee is getting cold, or a least explain why you dont like it.

In a time of supposed "austerity" I guess people think that spending nearly £500 on a coffee machine is a bit extravagant.

But this is hotukdeals, not lukewarmbutaustereukdeals. Extravagance shouldn't come into it...if the price is substantially lower than anywhere else, then it's a hot deal, whether or not anyone feels inclined or has the means to purchase it

Well said. Thankyou.....
I bought the Platinum Swing up for £199 during the summer, this is an additional £269 for a digital display. They are great machines but this is not a great price.

Had a Gaggia bean to cup machine a while back. Never again.

Had the same reliability issues mentioned in the Amazon reviews for this one - and bear in mind that Amazon reviews rarely mention reliability, because they're usually written soon after the product arrives.

For me, the smart bean to cup money's on Siemens machines - better designed, better made, and a lot more reliable.
Not sure why this is so cold, £900 for the machine, minus £450 saving = super deal to me. granted I cannot afford to spend £500 on a coffee machine.

Amazing how SSD's with a £15 saving get heat and this massive saving is cold. Crazyness!
Lousy stainless steel boiler means sub par espresso. Get a rancilio off ebay for the same price

I think there is a lot of sheep on here, and just vote cold because everyone else has, lets hear why you are voting cold on a £500 saving........
Heat from me but I hate seeing these deals as I really have to resist buying!
Granted, this isn't everyone's cup of tea (ha ha) but I don't think you can deny that it's a good deal! Hot from me.

On a side note, I tried using the 40% off with other items in the Philips shop & it works but keeps failing at the payment stage.
All that money for a Philips coffee machine oO

I think i'll stick with my Kenwood Magnifica that was £230.
