Good cards, I have the standard 4870 and it runs mostly everything at high quality. 2 inches smaller than the behemoth Geforce GTX cards also, so ideal for smaller cases. And equivalent to the GTX 260, beating it in a lot of benchmarks.

Agreed, I have this too and can confirm it runs everything very well.
Have some H&R for this deal!

Lol, no point, it already runs everything I play at best!

Hesitating between this one and the HD 5770... great price though!

This would be faster than the 5770, but no DX11 support and would use sligtly more electricity & no "display port"(though i don't know how many people will actually use it..)

This card looks like it has a good cooler & dual BIOS for overclocking which is nice. The golden sample cards allways overclock really well too.

I have a 4870 (512MB) and it runs everything I play no problem. Personally , my next upgrade will probably be when the 5850's come down to reasonable prices, in say 6-9 months ...

Good luck on your descision !

Pretty much as good as you'll get at reasonable price, good spot

Hot from me as great performance for the price even it wasn’t a Golden Sample.

It does use much more power than the 5770 which would mitigate against it if used in a PC that is on much of the time. At idle this consumes about 40 or 50W more than the 5770 which for a 24/7 machine means it will cost £40 or £50 more per year to run.
Good to see AMD have sorted out the high idle power consumption on the new cards.

You will need a decent PSU for this though, I had one running a combined 33a on 2 x 12 v rails which wouldnt run this card. Also it has 2 x PCI-E connectors and not just one.
