I'm looking for a good deal on this phone since Black Friday and finally found one for me.

Price per month: £48 and upfront £29.99. This adds up to £1181.99 but once you take away £9.99p/m for Spotify you pay £942.23 which is not bad.

Also included event tickets that will need to be claimed (worth up to £140.00) and 1 month Free Insurance.

  • 32GB UK Data
  • Unlimited UK Minutes
  • Unlimited UK Texts
  • 24 Month Contract

Thanks for posting @Sap7e , do you have a link to the deal please? The link you posted was for your own personal basket
Can you cancel Spotify?
Where does it show the lower rate

Can you cancel Spotify?

I think the OP is assuming you already pay £9.99 for Spotify elsewhere so it’s a relative rather than absolute saving. But it’s a terrible way of doing the maths...

No. Well yes, but you don't get the cash in lieu.

Oh OK. Thanks
This is freezing cold... But nobody has posted a better deal.

The best deal will be buy the phone outright or on PayPal credit, etc. Then get a good SIM only to go with it but I suspect most people want a monthly payment deal as they can’t afford it outright. This is just another example of ‘living beyond means’ - it is shocking then number of people who have the latest phones but can’t afford to eat out or do things socially (I have friends like this), especially near the end of month.

Note 8 is a good phone but can’t help feeling with Snapdragon 845 almost out it’s going to seem outdated soon

Indeed i feel the same about the people who cant buy their houses and cars outright they should live within their means and not bother having things they can't pay off straight away Bloody peasants

Not sure if serious. Plenty of people do manage themselves properly but I would be surprised if you couldn’t name at least one person (friend, relative, etc.) who had the latest phone/piece of tech yet lived in rented accommodation with a car on finance and was generally nowhere to be seen in the later part of the month until payday. It is sadly very common. Then when it really hits the fan, the same person will end up taking that phone to CeX in exchange for an insulting amount of money
Yes when they go missing i often think the worst maybe they died or where kidnapped then i remember they are just hibernating until the next pay check

The phone outright on PayPal credit would still be around £800+ and then the sim. That works out almost the same. I personally buy my phones outright and I'm getting the note 8 for £600 + sim only (probably get BT) then it's much cheaper. But on PP credit, not worth it in my opinion.

At least you’ll be able to call, text or message them on that flashy phone.

Maybe not PayPal credit then but something similar, just some kind of monthly instalment plan or credit of sorts

Anything from a store is still gonna be around £800+. So not cheaper.

Well buying a house isn't the same as buying a phone. If they can't afford a overpriced phone then they should buy a phone that they can afford, there's tons of different price ranges with phones, I don't see the need of spending so much if all your going to do with it is Facebook and YouTube, it's a waste to use a Powerful phone for Social Media

You can live without a phone you can't really live without a house
