Seems great deal as its direct from samsung with trade in option on any android phone for 100 and broken for 75 working out to 399 and 425 respectively.

S9 trade in value is 250.I bought s9 from ebay for 125 and availed trade in offer which works out to be 499-250-125 = 375

Available for 424 in their employee benefits portal but trade in value is less so i personally dont prefer if u want to avail trade inas i have a phone to trade in.

Note: Ceramic white in stock now

Never done the trade in. Quick question I have a old android phone super slow a few years old fully working but scratched up even then I got it for like 20 to 30 quid it's an old alcatel would I get 100 trade in for it? And how does it work? Thanks

Dear switchy, is it worth upgrading from a note 9 to a s10+ as I don't use the s pen as much as I thought I would, and to get £250 trade in for the note is probably a similar price to what I would get if I sold privately ie ebay? TIA.

Thanks op for post!

Screen has to be undamaged. Opt for the 'broken phone' option and that way you don't have to worry about rejection i guess.

It's not a massive upgrade, the note 9 and S10 Plus were only released a few months apart, but £250 for your nite 9 is still decent.

Battery and and slightly better camera are two stand out points iirc on the S10 Plus.
This or Xperia 1 (not II version just previous) thank you
Is this just fast charging and not super fast charging?
Now, this is getting very interesting indeed. Brand new s10 plus for 400 odd with trade in is great value, even for phone which is now about 1.5 years old . Those in the US with Qualcomm processors will be even more ecstatic. Heat from me.

Which is better, this or the Ceramic, also noticed the S10 5G also heavily reduced with bugger screen, slightly better camera and faster charging. Refund of my note 20 ultra coming in days so decisions to make.
How does the trade in work exactly? Iv just traded in my s9 for £250 so the s10 plus ceramic cost £250. Does samsung send the return package with the new phone?

Yes, they'll send you the packaging with instructions. You'll only need to send the phone, keep charger as a spare.

Yes you will receive details on how to return with plastic bag. Best to wrap in bubble wrap. It's free to send, but recommend Special Delivery which is around £7 50 as it's insured if lost. You'll get the details in 2 or 3 days from receiving your btw phone and have 7 days to send your phone to them.

Does that include even if you've used the phone for a couple of weeks, so it's clearly not in unopened, as-new condition? Returns policy just says: "You may return your products for any reason within 28 days from when you receive the product."

Will probably keep the S10 Lite I bought 2 weeks ago for £360 (less £100 from CEX for S7 Edge), but tempting seeing Samsung react to all the competition in this price bracket by cutting prices on last year's flagships to sub-£400 with zero value trade-ins.

Ok I have a small dilemma. If I decided to keep the phone instead of trading it in can I pay samsung the remaining £250. If so how would I go about doing it? Contact samsung in the first instance?

If you don't send in the trade-in phone to their 3rd party processor, then Samsung will use the continuous payment authority they set up on your payment method to recovery the value of the trade-in.

I assume they actually follow through on this nowadays. 3 or 4 years ago they sometimes didn't bother if you didn't send in a 'zero value' trade-in.

I am more than happy to pay the trade in value in cash. I just want to know the best way to go about it. I would rather pay up front than wait for them to initiate a recovery.

Ok so the best thing to do is not send the phone..wait for them to contact me and hopefully they will offer me the option to pay the trade in value of £250 in cash to settle the invoice? Does that sound OK?

The problem is I have accepted an offer to sell the phone to a colleague at work for much less than the trade in value. But as I accepted the offer, I would rather take a hit on the trade in value than decline the sale by saying i have changed my mind. i can sell the phone and top up the remaining amount and pay the trade in value in cash if that makes sense.

thanks for the information. i dont understand why they would they ask for more the the standard selling price? £500 is the cash price so surely they wont ask for any more.
found this on the website:

What happens if I don’t return my device to Samsung?Click to CollapseIf you do not return your old device to Samsung within the timelines stipulated, then unless you return your new device, you will be liable to pay a surcharge equal to the discount you received, which will be deducted from your payment card.

ok so i think i will just leave it and wait for them to take the remaining balance.
