Tab s4 at £449 don't bother. Same resolution, bigger battery on s4 and headphone jack if you want one, it's not worth the upgrade imo.

Rumours of a new tablet to be launched in August / September.

I bought the S6 couple of months ago when there was a crazy price drop on various discount portals. Paid around £350 for the 4G version. I have been quite impressed with it so far. Screen is beautiful, excellent battery life, very smooth & fast overall. With the keyboard cover, I am almost ready to abandon my laptop. I replaced a 6-yr old Galaxy Note 2014 with this.

I got this for about £370 last month with the £50 cashback, but that was the 256gb model with LTE. It's a good pad but the pen is nowhere near as good as the pencil. Screen and general performance is top notch and battery life good too. Power on off is annoying though, no seperate button...
Where have you guys been picking up these deals? Prices i've seen are nowhere near!

ChitterChatter have the RoseBlush Tab S6 for £539 delivered if that colour floats your boat.
ChitterChatter Tab S6 £539

I have a Tab S4 and its good enough for most things with decent battery life.
The slimmer profle of the Tab S6 would be nicer though.

One useful feature of these Samsung tablets is that you can plug them into any HDMI display and run your favourite android apps on the TV, or use a monitor as a display. They also support wireless display with eg Samsung TVs.
These tablets are plenty fast enough to use as desktop machines for things like (the free included) Microsoft Office.

I really wish someone would come up with a decent android tablet with similar screen proportions to an iPad as I prefer this for reading magazines and websites.

With a pencil you can use an eraser to rub off and with a pen its permanent!

There were some cashback deals last month. Also some student/employee discounts.

Comparing Apple pencil to Samsung pen
The pencil is better
(I think that's the context)
600 bloody quid? Come on that's ridiculous.

As far as I can remember, the only decent deals were going through the employee portal (no decent deals on cashback?)

Quite. Almost as much as a good phone...

You've seen the price of a similar spec phone and iPad right?

Some people will feel that way, i understand that way of thinking but id rather support a small business.

At least phones are 4g/5g this can't even accept a simcard. Like the poster above said a tab s4 is a decent spec. I have an lte tab s4 and cost me £250.

This should be closer to 350 quid max.

Agreed. That's why I'm sticking with my 9.7" Tab S2. A bit slow compared to my S10 phone but a great screen and a simcard slot.
I suspect that the market for tablets may be sliding given how good phones are now and unless the price for these high end tablets reduces they'll be difficult to shift in quantity.
Except for those that will always pay top dollar for iPad.
Tablets have become way, way overpriced.

What makes you say Samsung's pen is not as good as the Apple pencil?
