In our area local authority charge £43 per annum for green waste bin. Even if this only lasts a few years a bargain

Is this big enough to fit a person inside?

Make sure you sit it on top of some bricks

If you cut them to pieces why not?

Why not just take them down to a build site and have them set in some concrete?

How much do they normally charge for that? Do you get a discount if you do it in bulk?

Are these actually in the shop or do you have to order them to whatever branch?

Light it up when the neighbours have the washing out or are enjoying a BBQ!:(

if people have any sense they'd do it at night to avoid any of that, thats what i've done in the past anyway

doing it during the day is just wrong IMO, no-one wants to smell smoke and have it come into there house on there clean washing

A nice hot evening when everyone has the windows open, brilliant idea

These are great! Much better than a chimnea. I use mine to burn the evidence of my dodgy dealings.

true, but theres more chance of people having there windows open during the day than of a night

The galvanised coating burns off the first time you use it.

Burning of any rubbish in a residential area especially in the summer months should be banned! period!

Great price! I saw these at our local store Tuesday. The cheapest I've seen them anywhere else was £19.99. I know at the big DIY stores like B&Q and Wickes they're usually around £30+

You're probably the considerate neighbour who only lights bonfires once the temperature rises above 23 degrees;-)

Ordered thanks, was looking for one of these

Just paid £18.95 for one from an In-Excess store, so hot!

I'd suggest not leaving it outside and removing the ask when not in use. The ash goes soggy and it will soon rust through otherwise. Keep it dry and it should last a few years.

An important safety note: Do not under any circumstances use petrol or any other similar liquid to light one of these. You can buy cheap firelighters from the 99p shop etc. which will do the job perfectly well.

Check with your local authority - some places are smoke free zones and others have restrictions on when you can burn rubbish.

Was about to buy this yesterday thanks for posting OP heat added.

What hot evenings????? (_;)

Perfect for a couple of cremations.

I bought one for £21 from Wilkinsons so heat added although the nearest 'Home Bargains' store from me is 41 miles away!

(_;)

Had one of these. Wife bought it. Too small to have a proper bonfire ie if your doing some serious DIY/gardening.
If you have quite a bit to burn you could be out the all day with the small amount you would be putting in.
The galvanised finish burnt of the first time in use and the metal weakened.
When the rain came it started to rust and a year later it is no more than a pile of rust.

good to burn evidence

Not the most environmentally friendly way to dispose of your garden rubbish. Better to compost or take to your local Recycling plant. But if you hate your neighbours, the environment or have body parts to dispose of then this is a great price. In the spirit of this being a deals site and not a soap box for wannabe Eco warriors then Hot
