Not sure if it's local or national but spotted these in both stores in Lincoln. Bought 2 for my Wii. Noticed they were selling gamestation PS vita screen protectors and dual charge PS move accessories for £1 too.

If only they made a cordless version.....

...that used 2.4GHz RF tech allowing you to play up to 30m away from your TV, and gave it a weird name, but would forever be remembered as one of the greatest controllers of all time.

I take it they're used? Either way hot!

These are not official ones, game branded, also they Are new, or there's an offer. Buy any wii game get the controller free. Seen this offer at my local.

Comfiest pad ever imo

The wavebird was nice, but I ended up going back to a regular wired one. Nicer weighted imo (probably due to the vibro motors).

Probably my favourite ever pad

Were they the official ones mate? Good deal if they are. I hate the unofficial ones though, horrible feel.

Gameware, games own brand.

I got a white one primarily labeled for Wii same £2.

If the same it's quite unique because it has 2 'z' shoulder buttons, one for each side.

Got my official one for 99p Preowned from gamestation. http://i.imgur.com/I0ktot9.jpg

Ah the Gamecube. Reminds me of my days at Uni. Some absolutely amazing games. Mario Kart is one of my fav games ever and super monkey ball was absolutely genious. Great graphics as well. Might have to dust it off and give it a go. Bit annoyed though you cant connect it up to component to an HDTV. The old AV connection looks hurrendous on 1080p TVs of today

Get an old white wii for cheap now, one that is gamecube compatible, and hook it up to your tv by composite, that plays in 480p.

I always read that these can be used on a wii but they can't. Don't work with any games, like Mario kart and loads more. You can't even start a wii game from the wii menu with one of these controllers. So only buy if you have a gamecube

mario kart you can definitely play with it - but yes only a handful of games do (SSBB is another), and only on the older wiis before they removed the GC port.

They were the GAME own branded controllers.

Still got 2 wave birds, brilliant controllers!!!

Had a couple of these back in the day, were pretty good for third party pads. Saw us through many a Mario Kart session during university!

to think that i bought 3 of these for like 3 pounds each back then

I liketo turn my Wavebird the wrong way and fly it around the room like it's a ship from Star Wars.

It's the best controller ever, and it's the best toy spaceship ever.

WIN.

does this controller work the sega mega drive, my mum cant find a cheap controller to replace her broken one

I think the GameCube has to be one of my favourite consoles, we've still got the monitor attachment and the thing that attaches on the base to play GBA games etc. The Wavebird controllers work fine on the Wii too. They've been dropped many times and still work as good as new. They don't make them like that anymore

They can be used on the old Wii for Gamecube games, though revised Wii models removed Gamecube support.
