I hear the extras are really good for this - damn tempting price as well!
Ill wait till this hits under £20,only 10 eps so no value yet.
Normally I wait till TV Blu-Ray boxsets drop to £15-£20 but THIS show is an exception. Each episode is better than most films and the extras (especially on blu-ray) are brilliant - again normally I skip extras but watched pretty much all of them.

So what i'm saying is this show is nothing but value for the sheer brilliance of the entertainment.

10 Episodes means nothing when pretty much all of them are imo 10/10

I agree it's excellent value; but still too steep for me; I rarely buy TV boxsets but I'll definitely be getting this.

I was really disappointed with season 2; I'm not sure how much of that was having read the books between seasons so of course I knew all the twists and turns before they happened.
Maybe but Season 2 for me was even better than 1.

Especially Episode 9 - wow.

1. Use the 5OFF30 code to buy a £30 e-Voucher for £25 (http://www.tescoentertainment.com/store/w/egiftvoucher.tla), and make sure you send it to the email address you use for your second account.
2. Redeem the e-Voucher code in your second account.
3. Purchase using the code (5OFF30) again and pay with your e-Wallet.
I like the synopsis. Describes five minutes of series one and ten minutes of series two. I assume the overall story is headed that way but it has alomost nothing to with what made the two series so good.
Post 6 works. I got it for 21.99
Although just remember that the extra money from using the ewallet will be left in your tesco account to spend at another time
Been wanting to watch this show for ages and ages. £30 quid is too steep for me to buy any Series so been waiting for this one to go below £25. So for this price i might just cave, im sure i will enjoy it, but then ill have to wait for S2 to drop in price lol. Heat added for price though!
Decent price but I don't want want to own physical media anymore.
Does anyone know if there is a (legal) online service which has this series? Lovefilm, Netflix or Sky?
Seems expensive, can I pay the iron price?

Loved it......
Well Game of Thrones need's to be seen in the best quality imo.

Streaming in HD is barely above DVD quality but that's my opinion as I value quality first.

Think they're all online on Sky, well at least season 2 is for sure

Physical media is 10x better than the alternative. You will not get Blu-Ray quality from Lovefilm or Netflix, for a start.
Look at it this way, each episode is like a film in itself, that's 10 films for less than £30. Although that would also mean I watched 10 films in less than 2 days, as I did. oO

I feel like such a geek for laughing but you definitely got a smile from me for that one.

only really works if its above £35 though as with something like this it will still cost £25 for the £30 voucher and then you have £3 left over for something else. seems quite the mess around.
£26.99!? Think I'd rather pay the iron price.
No you've missed it on sky go in terms of streaming. They upload eps after theyre on tv, but they expire after abt 4 weeks. Then about 10 months on they upload the full series which is available for 28 days
So series 1 has already been and gone, you should buy series 1 then in abou 10 months series 2 will be uploaded onti skygo
Although this is a superb series think I'll wait for it to hit around £15-20 still haven't started season 2 even though I have 'em all on the sky box.
Still a rip off over £2 per episode

Not worth it
Note: Possibly spoilerish if you don't want to know anything:
I've seen the first season and for the most the series is well-delivered but sitting in HBO's 10-episode format left things very much unconclusional, I would not pay £26 for it. Especially when the series conked out on a major battle scene, instead using a POV knock-out and fade which was real cheap - the series didn't have any large scale medieval war re-enactment as it is - not that everything needs action, but it would've served as the meat on the bone in this case.

Outside this, the series is excellent, but I'd wait until it's available with season two as this feels more like half a season.

It follows the book, Don't like it? Then don't watch it. To show it any other way would be different than the books which would defeat the point.

I wasn't saying I didn't like it at all, I was being critical. I did like the series, I just thought the lack of a battle scene in episode 9 was a bit meh and the ending felt a bit unconclusional - but if it follows the books then great. It's still a high-price to pay for the box set, but others have said that.

Yes you are right, it will actually cost you £ 25 up front but you will still have £ 3.01 for a future purchase. Deal should read £ 25 for this series plus another £ 3 purchase e.g. one of the many good 3 CD compilation collections.
Just went to Tesco's in-store and Game of Thrones is currently down to £20 (from £26.80)

I forgot my phone so couldn't take a pic so if anyone else is going Tesco's please confirm

But yes it was £20 instore.

Book 3 is in two different books. Thats when the action really starts.
Thanks for this! Got the frist season for cheaper than second hand on eBay! Wikid as I really needed to rewatch this season now I understand who's who a little more.
Also the left over eWallet money is going towards some pressies I need to get.

Are you sure that is not for the DVD ? The DVD set is £ 20 at Tesco Entertainment
Well it was in the Blu-Ray section with the blu-ray set and it had the £20 underneath it - however now I think about it the sticker may have said DVD but either way it's clearly listed so surely they must honour it - if you showed it them.

Unless this was just one stores mess up.

If it's still there on friday when I go back i'll take a pic
Thanks all. I appear to be in the minority then as Netflix quality etc... is good enough for me.
That said, I may end up getting this deal since I missed the boat w/r to the first season on Sky
Damnit, they fixed the voucher glitch :-(

Just as I was processing payment too
