My wife hates joffery. She's never seen GOT before. She says that name just sounds evil.

Good instincts. If she was in GoT she might go far.
Then again maybe not as it does seem a clusterf*** at times showing no rhyme or reason.

Anyone else fed up of getting invested in a character as they'll surely just end up dead/deader.
It really isn't a good way to create a long running show but meh it's nearly over.
Last season could have been a lot better if they took their time instead of rushing.

It would have done 8 seasons when this one releases - thats a pretty good run in my view - how much longer did you want it to run Also they are anyways doing some sort of prequel style thingie, so the cashcow ain't going anywhere anytime soon. Its a gore show, people are bound to get killed - if the early rumours on the net is anything to go by - loads more will die in the finale too. Just how the cookie crumbles eh

Joffery is a wicked name - so her instincts on that are right, I must say.
Sick. Thanks man. Nice heads up.

Well it's a massive story ark spanning multiple locations and arks. So 8 Seasons which would be ample for a normal show just isn't enough here and it's hard to argue otherwise.

Last season was incredibly rushed.
Everyone was fast travelling all over the map like they had their own private jet.

A story such as GoT should be flushed out fully and make it to the 10 Season mark.
Compare the earlier seasons and their pace to what we have last season. It's being rushed for no good reason.

All I can think is to try and make it more and more mainstream by giving people an action packed hour of blood, fire and shocks.

For me the most memorable scenes have to be those that took their time to set the tone, show us the characters, let the viewer relate to them and become invested. Sure it's always great for a character to get killed off as long as it does something meaningful for the plot/story. There's been far too many senseless deaths where you're left wondering why even introduce that person at all if they're just gonna be killed off after a few scenes.

Basically it could have been so much better imho. Wasted material imo.

Yes there are prequels in the works but this present storyline is massive in scope so deserves more time to fully flush it out.

Agree they had lot more content and could have paced it out - coz the last season did feel rushed for the amount they had to show. For a show with the kind of following it has, no one would have complained if they had gone to 10 or maybe even more Wonder if there was a certain creative fatigue setting in here, compelling the makers to rush it, you reckon?

I miss the pace of the earlier seasons too.
Sure i love the action, the blood, the gore, but just think of the bonding between Jamie Lannister/Brienne of Tarth, John Snow/Samwell Tarly and my favorites tyrion lannister/Bronn/Podrick. All that great writing and dialect was missing from the last season.

Yes they glossed over a lot of the stuff at too fast a pace.
Awesome nice post
I like all the seasons a lot, but personally preferred the pace of last season to most, along with the first. But that's just me.

Also thanks OP!

How evil can he be He’s always been Joffrey cake to me
Thanks! I don't watch the show at all, but Son Of Mine has complained a couple of times about how the "upgrade" to the new Xbox Avatar system meant he lost his pet dragon from A World Of Keflings; this should be a good sub.

I'm still not entirely sure what you can do with Xbox One Avatars, but he seems to like them.

nope, love the non conformity of not being scared to kill off main characters, more true to the tale in my opinion. Stick to Disney if you want the hero's all to win.

There's non conformity and then there's killing off characters for neanderthal levels of shock entertainment.

I never said I was against killing off main characters, quite the contrary but it needs to be done right and story paced accordingly.
Perhaps read my previous comments before making such a nonsensical statements.

Then again going by your reply I'd imagine your attention span isn't able to accommodate such a request.

If you don't understand what I'm saying let me throw this shiny ball for you and take my leave. I'm wasting too much time responding to such idiocracy.

Which main characters have been killed off apart from Ned? The focus was never on the dead starks or hodor. The rest were either periphery characters or bad uns. Margery being the possible exception
Remember when no one was talking about GoT until season 4?

I love how you think writing your initial 3 line reply and providing zero proof to backup your point is any sort of argument.
Reminds me of how religion practicing nut jobs argue their beliefs with the sane people of society.

You're either a pre-pubescent adolescent or have that level of thinking capacity.
Best not strain yourself too much buddy, that brain of yours needs to last the rest of your life.

If you've mastered the ability to read go back and reread the thread. Hopefully that'll help you see what people are saying and how to make a point using both opinion and proof based facts.

Another good and easy way to tell if your opinion is in the more popular end of the spectrum is to have a look at the number of thumbs ups a comment has received.

Failing that here's another meme for your viewing pleasure that I feel is fitting:

I'm just finding it all funny. Your essay of a response from those "3 lines" just shows what a child you really are and how upset you get . This was backed up by your statement that you get upset with the pacing of GoT ,But I wouldn't expect a complete dimwhit like yourself to understand.
Yeah your exactly the type of person to chase thumbs up likes. Pathetic waste of oxygen. I will bid you Adieu and turn of the notifications as a child like yourself doesn't deserve anymore attention. So write another essay if you like, I won't see it , but perhaps you'll get some thumbs ups, you desperately crave.
Like my first comment , stick to Disney kid.

Well when what could only be considered a moron responds in according fashion I am compelled to set the record straight.

I never used the word upset. Shows how well you're able to comprehend the written word.
That is further enforced by your spelling of the word dimwit.

Chasing thumbs up?
I'm not commenting just for the sake of thumbs up. It's a side effect of providing a popular opinion and a statistic that can visually display the results. You imbecile.

I'm not sure if it's a pity you won't see this as you'll just twist its clear meaning to suit your moronic agenda.
You seriously have issues with comprehension. Consider staying in school a little longer kiddo.

If I'm a waste of O2 I shudder to think of what to officially label you. It's likely not worth the label it'd be printed on.

Good riddance. Mutually ignored to prevent further wastage of life by the life leaching parasitic troll known as djdearz.
