In a few weeks time they will be told to dispose of them. Just rip the front and back covers off and give away to your customers

None in any stores for me but since the OP said theirs didn't show up, I'll give it a shot in store anyway. Usually use the online guides but for so cheap, a physical version would be great! Thanks for the heads up!
The £0.49 are clearance, all the rest are regular sales pricing.

where from did you happen to notice any other guides? £15 off works for me not that you need a guide as it just follow the marker, i completed it in 21hrs bit easy and ending was boring but thats just my personal opinion

21 hours? Lol, I’m 50h in and still on chapter 3, will move on a little today, once I level up think the rest will be fairly straight forward. No other guides in the shop at all, think they were at the back.

Had some reduced guides in Silverburn Glasgow - stand out was Dead Rising 3 at £0.49.

However, someone had stuck the Game secure seal over it and ripped the front so I passed on it.

Don't mind the seals on plastic but when you put them on paper or cardboard it ruins them more often than not. Tangentially, had a real moment when I picked up my SNES mini as, despite not being factory sealed anywhere else, the employee insisted on putting on a seal before he gave me it. I asked him politely not to seal it, and explained the damage risk, but he would not desist.

Yes, I should have made more of it really but it's just what I expect of them now.

You can collectively ignore the following rant as it's not about this deal - heated btw - but I do worry about Game's future. Recently I've been to York, Durham, Leeds plus various Glasgow stores and I didn't feel valued at any. I've seen them skipping people to the front of the queue, if they buy a console there and then but not checking if anyone has a console pre-ordered - as I did and was waiting to collect. 15 minute waits to buy a game, then further five to find said game, and finally the old can I sell you a disc protection policy/DLC. Witnessed some poor parent queue only to be sold the digital copy of COD WW2, Game totally out of stock, so they supported retail only to pay more than online and have to suffer a massive download. They also didn't ask the parent whether they had a capped ISP - a new game download would blow through most capped services. Then they totally flummoxed the parent by offering them a season pass deal which would reduce the price of the base game but, of course, cost more overall - poor parent had no clue what the pass was or the value/discount added. This is on top of the online phantom stock issues that they always have and their refusal to take store pre-orders over the phone.

Clearly, games are not their core product anymore. They've cut back pre-owned to this gen, and one small section of last, completely ignore PC games - barring download codes - and focus on merchandise instead or, in a small number of stores, PC hardware. Latest wtf item they sell are Destiny & Fallout/Skrim VR candles.

Honestly, CEX is my preferred shop now. Yeah, their stores are super busy but they offer and honor a 24 month warranty on all hardware - some delays and silly questions aside, I got a full refund on a 1 year old processor that stopped working: despite their market value refund policy. They also sell a good selection of used PC games. Their retro range is quite good too and proves that there is a demand for it - one that Game didn't value as they killed the Gamestation brand which sold older tech/games. I don't care for CEX's new online delivery policy though as it's £1.50 per item rather than £2.50 per order.

Rant over and hope you all got some nice strategy guides

i have to agree with you the customer comes last. in my game at time of buying the guides there was 4 members of staff behind the tills yet only 1 was serving. i think download games are a waste of money £50 for base game and you have nothing to show for it or £40ish instore. my game store is over priced on many things used items are crazy £5 less than rrp. mini rant over.
Thanks again for this deal, collected another sealed FFXV guide from York while I was there
Still some out there as was in East Kilbride shopping centre. Picked up New Colossus Collector's Edition Guide and Dead Rising 3 paperback - £2.99 and £0.49 respectively.

Think they also had the Destiny 2 Collector's Edition Guide, for £3 or £5, and a Street Fighter GAME exclusive issue 1 comic for £1.
