Can I use this as an ordinary PC keyboard?

Totallly! I use my gaming keyboard as a regular keyboard
Thanks, I was just about to order one from eBay, the cheapest deal there on this identical keyboard is £13.99 and that's without the 3 year guarantee, I'm now hoping that I don't encounter any PC Hardware conflict with this. Has anyone got one of this specific keyboard and have you encounter any hardware conflict when using with your PC?

??
I can't see how you'd get a hardware conflict with a keyboard
Does anyone happen to know if this is any good?

Its a tenner and if it's no good take it back
Just a heads up to anyone planning on using this with a mac, the anti-ghosting keys can really mess up your typing. Macs recognise it as two keys alternating so, if you're a quick typer, you'll end up with words like ththtisisisis.

Fair point. But is it worth the trip to Aldi? I live in an incredibly middle class area so it's a bit out of my way.
If I happen to go past one I'll give it a go!
Thanks for posting, cheaper than the tat I buy for the office. Going to try and pick up 10 sets for the store room as long as there's not restrictions on how many you can buy. Stacy on reception will be a great test for this as she probably cracks out 10k words a day but with a three year warranty no worries.... Not forgetting it will look good to, think red will go nice for Christmas......
If your looking to spend a little more with good rating on Amazon amazon.co.uk/Sum…1ST
Thanks,might get one for work.
Seems decent enough for a tenner!

Ah, Universal Surf Bold. Or if it's wireless you need to make sure you've got the right Ariel.

D'oh - of course
If anyone's interested this is a T.C. Star TCK802 re-branded as Maxtek gaming keyboard for the European market:

tcstar.com.tw/tcs…htm

Reading the description it seems the mouse is also included in this purchase, even if they only last a year it has a 3 year warranty so returning them after 12 months for a refund is still a free keyboard and mouse for a year.
The only thing confusing me at the moment is its listed as Sunday 13th December, does this mean it is only available on Sunday 13th, only available from then or only available until then?

I am not, I use a standard Logitech keyboard as an avid gamer and have absolutely no problems. I steer clear of "gaming" branded products like the plague, the fact this has 18 anti ghosting keys is actually quite reassuring...

This is Aldi's approach with lots of offers. Twice a week they'll get stock in on the basis that when it's gone, it's gone. Their 'release schedule' is available on their website. Of you turn up late on the day popular items can already be sold out. Not so popular deals can still be available weeks later.
Might sell my K70 RBG and buy one of these :P
Picked up Games cheap keyboard that is £15 and listed at backlit but isnt, Think I'll pick this up and see if its any better, Rubber domes are fine for me, but I want to be able to see it in the dark.

Unless your PC/MAC does not have at least 2 USB ports for then to be plugged in to them you will be fine. Generic drivers will normally take over from when you plug them in.

WARNING: Does not work with BBC computers. ;-P

Very cheap for a keyboard with gaming rollover keys - not sure if the Nemesis has that feature - just hope there's one left when I get there (might even resort to my next nearest.

PS. Just caught a Flamedeer here

it never says...
Error ! you don't have any games.
you can't use this keyboard.
Try after buying few games.
Tempted by this.
I don't want a gaming keyboard, but I do want a keyboard that has keys with anti-ghosting/n key roll over for a decent price.

I could do without the flashy lights, but I might give this a try.
great price - hope there are some in my local aldi hot

Was this being sold with a mouse or were they just suggesting a the mouse to go with it? As far as I can see online they are separate items.

Keyboard and mouse are separate (mouse is £9.99 also).
I thought that it was both for £9.99 initially, but it seems they've changed the website and they're now listed separately.
Thanks just picked one up they seem to be selling fast, looks like they only had about 10 in stock.
Update: Purchased blue version today (keyboard only).

The letters are simply stickers.

There is a blue backlight between the keys only - basically a gimmick.

You cannot type in the dark with the blue keyboard that I purchased, as you can't see the letters on the keys.

I'm interested to see if there might be different versions out there - and if maybe - I got a previous iteration.

It's going back.

just got it and it's quite good. especially when compared to zalman one I have with annoying and noisy keys. shame that characters on keyboard are not back-lit but it's only a tenner
