Realise this is pretty low spec and certainly not for everyone, but it's the cheapest 'gaming' laptop I've seen for a while if you can get the £200 trade in (works out £449 if so)
With a separate graphics card, I've not seen much under £500 recently, albeit this is older tech.
£449.99 with £200 Trade-In Offer (see details below)

sorted byBeen looking for a few days for a laptop for my son for around £500 to play basic games (Steam, Minecraft, Roblox), a bit of homework and some video editing and this seems fairly good for £449.
Just need to find a cheap old PC/Laptop to trade in thats under 6 years old
Very tempted to go for it.

This one is £449 with trade in, so £100 cheaper than that Amazon one you linked, but if 10th Gen Intel is better than this 5500H CPU, then good for some.
I know it’s pretty rubbish spec if you’re wanting high end games, but I haven’t seen a brand new “gaming” laptop for £450 for quite a while.
I actually went for the 3050 model for £80 more - £529 (got it for £493 with a discount) in the end.
Makes this one a better option now.
