The quoted laptop is a bit rich for my tastes but for anyone wanting the power of a 1070 GPU, £1259 is a cracking price. I specced up an equivalent laptop on PC Specialist and it came out at £1901!

I was looking at this earlier - not a bad bottom-of-the-range option here: store.hp.com/UKS…ale

this thread is the perfect place to post a low res, power saving cpu and integrated graphics laptop after all...

Kek... Bloody rubbish laptop for the price... I've seen one the other day here for £350 at pc world with a Kaby i7 that poops all over that

£900 after discount seems pretty good for this spec... http://store.hp.com/UKStore/Merch/Product.aspx?sel=NTB&id=1DN33EA&opt=ABU

not sure why it is getting all the negative 'heat'. A great find OP especially as I am in the market for exactly this sort of laptop but couldn't justify the nearly £2000 one from PC specialist would have cost me. I am really itching to pull the trigger on this.......... I just wish you could customise it with a 4k screen. Maybe by the time of my next laptop upgrade, 4k will be the norm

Pulled the trigger in the end. Got over my infatuation with having a 4k screen as for this money its a bargain and I've told myself it will easily last a year or 2 longer if I'm gaming at 1080p instead of 4k..... Then down the line I'll flog the 8GB ram and upgrade to 16GB and I'll probably do the same for the 128GB m2 ssd so I can upgrade to 256GB+ once the laptop starts to creak. It may be not quite as well endowed as similar specced laptops regarding USB ports and little touches like a multi coloured backlit keyboard but it is a great deal. I just hope the integrated battery doesn't cause any issues a year or 2 down the road although mine will predominently be a desktop replacement anyway

Thanks OP. Too many cheapskates on HUKD cold voting this down.
