he stylishly designed Action Lounge is the ultimate multimedia mat: great for enjoying gaming, movies and music entertainment in serious comfort.

A set of stereo speakers and subwoofer integrated in the head/back rest allow greater involvement in the entertainment experience!

The mat is not only eye catching in any room; it can also be used on the patio and in the garden. In fact up to eight mats can be connected together to create a true multimedia playground. Be warned, this level of relaxation can be highly addictive, but when you do manage to pull yourself away the mat is easily folded into a space saving small cube.

im sorry i just looked on play but they've now removed it sorry for the inconvenience

They have not removed it they are just awaiting stock.

Is it the same item as on play.com because on play.com it says it's a 'Pyramat PM550 Sound Lounger', while on ebuyer it's called 'Action Lounge SR4 Multimedia Mat'?

Most likely totally different, well to the same extent as a Ford Focus has four wheels and gets you from A to B, then so do a Lada Riva...perhaps

You just plug the sound in from anything, so it will work with a SNES or a Wii or a Gameboy or anything. Dunno what cables it comes with if any, you might need an extension cable from the red and white plugs coming from the console or something like that.

These look weird, I don't see the appeal. Are they meant for children?

edit: actually going by the pics on ebuyer, it comes with every cable that you could need for most consoles, DVD players or whatever.

Nope. The ebuyer one is an Extra Value, most likely it's an imitation. Though normally the Extra Value is pretty decent stuff...

Wow bargain of the century.

Absolute spitting image of a Pyramat - bought one of these as a present for my bro about 2 months ago for about £70 after quidco. It's ok, although haven't used it much.

I would say that laying down on it is a bit uncomfortable in terms of angles of neck/vision - the 'Rocker' version of this is much better, which is an actual seat with the speakers behind your ears and a bass speaker in the small of your back.

If you play video games on your back while in bed this may lend itself to that more than on the floor in your lounge.
