I mean technically you can game on it. E sports and older titles. I'm on a few Facebook groups and should see some of the 'gaming pcs' people sell on there
the latest 3rd generation Ryzen CPU and is fast enough to deal with all PC games.

If you pair it with an RTX-2080 TI maybe

Single core 1ghz cpu 512mb ram with no gfx card.

'yeah but it can run mine sweeper that means it's gaming' face-palm
Poor MB, Only a single DIMM so poor for that CPU.

Obviously built to a price but would be better with a B450 mb and 2x4GB as a starting point.

Even a £150 refurb pc from amazon with a low profile 1050 for £100 or less off ebay will be much quicker than this for gaming. Haswell has decent single core performance even by todays standards

You guys are all crazy, i have a ryzen 3 3200g and playing apex legends at 1080p at easy 60fps am sooo impressed by how easy it handles everything without even overclocking it. For a first time gaming pc its good price for what you get heat added
Anyone have any idea if this would be any good for video editing?
Use Code PLEASED to get these fpr £242 delivered? Bargain? Too good to be true, perhaps?
My son would love a gaming pc for playing fortnite. I'm clueless but also don't have a huge amount of money. Would this work or would it lag too much? Thanks so muc
I really don't like it. Haven't done the maths yet but seems expensive as it has the most basic motherboard, a no-name psu, and then they have matched slow ram with a ryzen with integrated graphics. So many no no's with this system.

Not voted either way yet, as i'm just going to try to search for something better for the price.

The CPU isn't terrible but sensibly you'd want to put in a graphics card so if doing that you might as well get a better CPU without integrated graphics such as the Ryzen 5 2600 which is often ~£100 on eBay with the various 10% codes. AMD RX 560 graphics cards in the region of £100 but you'd be best off getting something used such as a GTX 1060 in the region of £130 on eBay. Now the CPU and graphics card are the price of this entire computer and you're looking about £200 for case, motherboard, RAM, drive, and power supply - So this "gaming pc" is definitely cheap but won't be anywhere near as capable as something you put together for ~£400.

What a lot of people do is buy refurbished Dell business machines which are actually fairly good, stick in a graphics card and you've got a pretty descent machine for about this £245 price.
That's really helpful - thank you

38561882-fGWE3.jpgIMHO Ryzen 3 3200G would make more sense than this specific i5 chip, but the principle of a refurbished business computer as the base system makes more sense than this poorly specced prebuilt.
Is it possible to buy one of these HP workstation PCs then just put the components in a new fancier case?

Yeah it would be easy enough to transfer it over to a small form factor gaming computer case.

I have found that business computers generally have low watt power supply units. Worth checking that any graphics card you plan to put in can draw enough power.
Specs are okay 720p Fortnite ... probably
As above, my son has asked for a ‘gaming pc’ for Christmas and the ones on sale in the likes of Curry’s are £600+. It’s more than we’ve got to spend on him. I know relatively little about pc’s, only that he needs something with a fast processor and a good graphics card.
Ive no idea where to start to be honest!
He plays Fortnite, Minecraft, Star Wars and Battlefront v1 on PS4 and is interested in setting up his own YouTube channel.
can anyone point me in the right direction for the best place to start? He’s asked for an LG monitor too..

Fortnite, yeah £450 should be fine for a mix of med/high. 120fps
Maybe high/ultra for 30fps.
What monitor does he have?

£450 is a good starting budget, in around 3-4 years you can upgrade the system.
Note: Don't buy pre built, most of them cheap out on essentials,e.g power supply.
I can get you a £450 in pc part picker, when I'm free
Thankyou! I’ve dm’d you
