I’d wanna run games like DayZ, Tarkov, Squad..those kinda games. Preferably of max, though hooked up to an OLED.. would something like this cut the mustard, or would I need to spend more?

If you're hooking upto a 4k OLED and want to run at 4K - no mustard would be cut.
I priced everything individually and got £610 best price.
Fantastic price - I cost the components at £621 on PCPartPicker.

I expected as much.
That's not bad for the money for a pre-build!!
OK so its not my choice of GPU but then my 1700x + 580 8gb build cost me >£1000 only a year ago.

I have lgb7 oled using PC 4k is hardly noticeable if you're sat a comfortable distance away on the sofa

This will max settings at 1080p high frames no problems

Haha not remorse per se - love my build. Just timed it REALLY badly, paid £160 for 2x8GB RAM and £230ish for the RX 580 and then the price of both basically collapsed within a year.

Yeah, 4K is fine n all but HDR is the ticket really. I didn’t mean to run the pc at 4K so much..as you mentioned, 1080 or higher(?) with more frames is good. It won’t be soon, realistically, just thought I’d ask when this popped up.

I also overpaid for the RX 580, running fairly well in an ancient i5 2500K build I picked up second hand years ago.

“Or higher”...Please check, but I don’t think the LG Oleds can accept a 1440p input, it’s 1080p or 4K, but nothing in between.

Some games use a resolution scale in the settings so you can stick it on 4k and set scale at around 80%

I believe this the norm for the pro consoles that pretend they are 4k when really it something like 1800p
Good points, can’t find out what mine will accept specifically though (Panasonic OLED). Lots to read up online too, frame rates, refresh rates etc. Much of which is by PC folk coming to OLED so losing those things from a monitor, not console going to pc gaining frames but maybe losing definition. Ultimately, I guess it would be a plug it in and see what happens deal. Lots to look into 🏼
I'm running a RX580 on a lesser processor that's probably bottlenecking and it's fine for 1080p gaming. Witcher 3 on ultra, Project Cars 2 on Ultra, PUBG on high. This should be great for 1080p gaming given the processor and I was amazed how much better stuff like Just Cause 3 looked on my TV compared the xbox one version.

Not max nor 4k resolution but around medium to high at 1080p
Would this be a solid choice for running VR?
guys been on about getting a decent gaming pc for ages , but im completely out of the loop because i simply bought consoles for the last 10-15 years or so ... would this run stuff like the new cod , doom eternal and stuff like this ? thanks in advance
Would the lack of HDD be a problem?
Or a bigger SSD be more than sufficient.
Is this compareable to an i5 and GTX 1060 6GB?

480GB is a decent sized SSD to start with.

Thanks for the reply, also is the extra £100 for Windows 10 worth it or is it cheaper and easier to install elsewhere?
Damn, this is a good offer.

good deal
is this processor the ryzen 2600 better than a i74790k in overall perfromance and gaming
This is probably a stupid question, but what is the point in a PC without an OS? So isn't the price really £649 for something usable? Or is there an alternative to giving them the extra £100?

You can install an OS if you already own a licensed version or to save costs there are linux OS that you can use that are free such as Ubuntu, Mint, Chalet OS etc. This gives you an option to either buy or reuse your old OS. Look at linux if your interested in free OS as they look more like windows 10 OS like chalet.

And do all Windows programs/games run on it?
Great find op

You can get an OS on ebay, Windows 10 OEM for example, for like £5 I believe...
