As good as a Bahco? I've used one of these to prune a couple of pear trees.....it was awesome...like a knife through butter!

18cm blade
2 section safety lock
Choose from: Fine Tooth blade (for dry wood) or Medium Tooth blade (for green wood)
Total length: approx. 400mm (opened)

As good as a Bahco? Errr.............No

Assuming that these short versions are the same design as the ones that I have, be aware that they cut on the back-stroke not on the forward-stroke like a conventional saw. Personally, I think the back-stroke gives better control when pruning.

I have longer versions of both the fine and medium saws and, assuming these are the same quality, they have been real value for the money. Had mine for a couple of years now and they are still sharp, even though I've used them for a fair amount of pruning.

Probably not as good as Bahco but very good value by the sounds of it, therefore voted hot.

Telescopic Tree Lopper
killer deal too
£8. 99 each *
You can prune with it and play at being 'Death' on hallowene

Should be perfect for cutting snow blocks to make that easter igloo.

cibarious

physics makes a 'conventional' forward cutting stroke pretty much useless on these types of saw.
