At the end of the isle, about 8 on the shelf. Reason is discontinued stock. Presume it it national - other stuff there too, strimmers etc.
Not sure of quality but will find out tomorrow.

Which Homebase store was this?

Saw one of these boxed and one on display at the Newcastle Under Lyme Wolsanton store.
Doesn't look like the gap to put the cuttings in is very big.

Probably to stop the usual home incompetent from shredding their arm or leg.

Leamington Spa. No, the gap isn't large - large enough to get my fingers in but not my base knuckle. I'm not expecting amazing performance that you see the average tree surgeon using on the back of his lorry, I just want rid of the large amounts of foliage and the spindly branches they are attached to - basically anything you can cut off with a knife. All the rest I'll clip, saw and burn.

I used it today for about 4 hours straight. I'm very pleased with it and it has exceeded my expectations. I've mostly been chopping a plant that has spikes and is bright yellow when cut and it happily cuts things a thick as my thumb. Has also made short work of bamboo. I've cut through what must be nearly 200Kgs and filled two green wheelie bins - just of chippings. In short, I'd have ahppily paid the full £60.
Also, cleaned it out and no sign of damage to the blade and it is as sharp as before I started.

Purchased one for £53 a month ago, works very well, but it was just Raspberry canes I was shredding.

Where would you get replacement blades from?

Not sure but they appear to be just pieces of steel you could unscrew and regrind - somewhere on a light industrial estate would be able to do it if you can't yourself.
