I don't think I'd trust that to take my kids weight let alone an adults
We have had these for 3 years. Left outside in all weathers. Never expected them to last long but still going strong. We have been eating our breakfast outside in the sun during the lockdown . I'd recommend if you want a cheap set.

Actually, I've owned these for as crazy 8 years now.
Perfect for my once tiny apartment balcony.
They definitely need sealing if leaving outside, I recommend water based polyurethane.
Like any wood product, they will rot away if exposed and not treated.

2-3 years ago decided to replace the small slats with larger planks of reclaimed Timber. Larger seating area too. Did at different times with spare woodstain, needs doing again this year as they are clearly different colours

They do fold away too, However joints gets stiff with rust if not oiled.

These are perfect for some people, normslly young, with limited space and funds, who this is targeted at.

But not familes with large amounts of space and budgets in the £100's+.

Good price, I think I paid £35 way back then got these.

We're only getting for option for expedited delivery on any IKEA items the last few days which costs £43, anyone else not getting the standard option?

Garden furniture is the new toilet rolls .Out of stock for decent stuff .Another example of the UK complete lack of manufacturing .
All retailers are waiting on stock from China arriving !

I’m a grown adult and I have stood on this sat on it for a while and it is surprisingly strong.
Looks like this would be comfortable for a maximum time of approximately 22 seconds. After which you'll have an imprint of the slats in your backside and back..

We got them about a month ago and I thought they would be terrible also. They are actually really good.

I was looking at cushions from IKEA and delivery was £3.95 but it was a month before dispatch. Will probably be able to go to a store by then.

Im pretty sure they would have been properly tested before being allowed on the market so fear not.
Put cushion seat pads on these to be comfy.
Only issue is no arm rests and no full back rest.

I'm in the exact same scenario. They're a bit stiffer to open up now and could maybe do with a paint/varnish, but they're surprisingly strong.
I bought this set not too long ago.
It's a great set. Can recommend.
So everyone who's posted on this thread who already owns the set recommends it. Not a bad endorsement so far, heat added.
If you order from Ikea at the moment it will say a month for delivery but a chance you then get a call from the store to move it. I ordered some bits Wednesday and the delivery date was 20th June, got a phone call from Southampton store on Saturday and they said they were able to deliver it yesterday!
Horrible little set, it’s that price for a reason, don’t put anyone over the age of 12 on these seats. Cheap and nasty.

Really ???

haha yes, checked a few times but wasn't in stock...
Are chairs good for people over 100kg ?

Stores start re-opening on the 1st of June. The queues and stock difficulties will be no picnic though.
Thanks. Was waiting to order this, perfect for my balcony.
They look super flimsy but a local cafe has had them for years, they seem to be going strong and I've seen some proper hambeasts sitting in them.
I e had this set fir a god 5 or 6 years
It’s absolutely fine
Easy to store
I paint it e wet couple of years
We have this set, been great and supports us no problems we use an ikea cushion to make it comfy

Hey they look good !
are u able to measure their footprint.. ie legs to legs.. as I have a tiny balcony I would like something like this on. thanks
£9.95 delivery
Thanks for posting, we have added this to the Highlights section
We have a set on the balcony, perfect for watching the sunset
Black and Red at this price are out of stock it seems. Currently Green and White are available. I ordered this in White, it's estimated to arrive on the 21st of June for anybody wanting to know how soon it might be delivered.
Anyone got any codes for anything IKEA to knock the prices down, free delivery, etc. their prices have shot up...

EDIT : FIRE!

No colour I want available. Does anyone know if IKEA are usually good for restocking items like these? I can't phone them or get any kind of customer service response. Frustrating as I don't want to buy the wrong colour and then they restock it. Seems like the kind of thing they'll be selling loads of and will continue to all summer. Anyone know?

Got this set today, best colour nearly running out at Greenwich warehouse. Worth the price at £28 but not much more than this.
